Chapter 327
Chapter 327
Ophelia’s eyes grew cold. She hadn’t expected to bump into Felicity, and for her to have the nerve to throw shade at her. ‘She’s really clueless,’ Ophelia thought.
“Boss, just ignore her. Girls like her have never faced the harsh realities of life. Once she graduates and steps into the real world, she’ll find out real quick. Let’s see who’ll spoil her then,” Ella said, catching Ophelia’s mood and assuming Felicity had gotten under her skin.
“I’m fine,” Ophelia said, her eyes twinkling with a playful smile. “Weren’t you the one who kept talking about coming here? Now that we’re here, why aren’t you ordering? It’s on me. Order whatever you want.”
“Boss, you’re the best!” Ella cheered, grabbing the menu and happily starting to order.
While Ophelia and Ella were having a blast at dinner, Felicity stormed home in a rage.
“Felicity, what’s wrong? You look so upset,” Claire asked, hurrying over with concern. “Mom, Ophelia is driving me crazy,” Felicity growled, her face dark and her teeth clenched.
Henry’s brows furrowed. “What happened with her?”
He never took Ophelia lightly. For someone so young, she was sharp, not someone you could easily figure out.
“I was out having dinner with some friends…” Felicity started telling them what happened at the restaurant, and the more she spoke, the more humiliated she felt.
After hearing Felicity’s story, Henry looked even more serious. “So you’re saying she’s got some impressive friend backing her up?”
“Who could it be?” Claire was really curious.
“Who knows? Maybe she’s found someone else to cling to. Getting involved with Alaric and Declan wasn’t enough for her. She’s got some serious tricks up her sleeve,” Felicity huffed, barely able to hide her anger.
She was absolutely fuming. Declan had ignored her and even left the country. She’d done some digging and was convinced someone was behind it. She suspected Ophelia, thinking it was all just so she couldn’t get close to Declan.
“Don’t talk nonsense,” Henry reminded her gently. “Don’t forget who you are.”
“Relax, we’re at home. What’s there to be afraid of?” Claire shot Henry a look.
“You don’t understand. Something’s not right here. I need to go ask around,” Henry said, getting up and heading
out.
He just had a bad feeling, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on what was wrong.
Claire could sense Henry’s tension, so she just comforted Felicity. “Go get some rest for now. We’ll talk about it when your dad gets back.”
“Okay,” Felicity muttered, finally keeping quiet for once. Her dad was almost never this serious, so she didn’t dare say another word.
After lunch, Ophelia headed back to the hospital.
It was time to change Alaric’s dressing, so Ophelia gently put on the medicine patch she’d made herself. Alaric’s face soured as he stared at the thick, black, gooey mess in her hand. “You were gone for ages, and this is what you bring back? You expect me to believe that’s medicine?”
“Yeah, I made it myself,” Ophelia said confidently. “Trust me, it works wonders.”
“Are you sure this is supposed to help my wound heal, and not just some way to get back at me?” Alaric shot her a wary look, for once actually on guard around Ophelia.
Honestly, that stuff looked so sketchy, it was hard to believe it was real medicine.

Ophelia arched a brow and gave him a mocking side-eye. “Did you do something sneaky that makes you think I’m getting back at you?”
