Chapter 331
Everyone’s gaze unconsciously shifted to Oliver Rowle, who looked calm and collected, giving nothing away. You couldn’t tell if he’d known about this all along.
But the two of them were siblings, and regardless of whether Ophelia knew or not, it was obvious she’d always favor Oliver.
Henry narrowed his eyes for a split second, then casually rested his hand on the stack of papers on the table. ‘No matter what, we’ve got to pull this off today. Worst case, we can always drag the old man in to set things straight,’ Henry thought.
‘As long as our plan comes out on top, there’s no way the old man can let them off the hook, he added to himself.
With his mind made up, Henry signaled to Asher. “Asher, I know we’re competing, but we’re still family. Let’s let Oliver speak first. We’ll hold off for now.”
Asher gave a disgruntled snort, but he still nodded, agreeing, albeit reluctantly.
After all, there was no way he could quit now. If he did, all his hard work would go straight down the drain.
“No need. Out of respect for seniority, Uncle Asher should go first,” Oliver replied, his gaze icy and his tone calm, exuding the quiet dominance of someone born to lead.
Asher’s expression soured as he shot Oliver a glare. “Oh, now you remember we’re your elders?”
‘He’s been hogging the headquarters for years, when has he ever treated us as elders?’ Asher thought, resentment simmering.
Oliver shrugged, radiating confidence. “Of course. I’m just worried you won’t get a shot once we’re finished.”
As he spoke, Oliver cast a pointed glance at Asher’s proposal, the meaning clear as day.
Asher’s face fell, jaw clenched tight. He muttered under his breath, “Hmph, so arrogant.”
“Then we’ll go first,” Henry said, unable to shake off a nagging worry that something might go wrong. He shot his assistant a look and said, “Get up there and walk them through our plan.”
“On it,” the assistant replied, heading up to present their pitch.
Ophelia listened intently, her expression serious and focused.
After a while, the presentation wrapped up. Asher turned to Ophelia, a smug grin on his face. “So, what do you think?”
“Oliver, why don’t you share your thoughts too?” Asher said, clearly showing off and rubbing it in.
After all, he’d lifted this proposal straight from Oliver. ‘He must be boiling inside right now, Asher thought, a self-satisfied smirk on his lips.
‘I’ve been prepping for this showdown for ages. Today, I’m going to put Oliver in his place,’ Asher thought, his confidence soaring.
‘If I can just land Rowan’s project, there’s no way the old man can say no to letting me stay and run the headquarters, he told himself, already picturing his victory.
Asher was getting more and more full of himself, so wrapped up in his own triumph that he didn’t even notice Oliver sitting there, not moving a muscle, a faint, mocking smirk on his face.
“Asher, Oliver hasn’t spoken yet. Let’s give him a chance,” Henry said, playing the peacemaker, but anyone with eyes could tell he was just as smug.
It was the classic move, winning and still acting like the good guy.
Ophelia couldn’t be bothered with their smug faces. She looked up at Oliver and asked, “Oliver, what do you think?”
“I think it’s my turn,” Oliver said, his voice cold as his gaze swept over to the project manager, eyes shadowed

with authority.
The manager sprang to his feet and began the presentation.
The moment the concept art appeared on the big screen, Asher and Henry looked utterly stunned.
“What the hell is this?” Asher demanded, completely floored.
