Chapter 333

Chapter 333

Zoe had made her choice, and now she had to live with the consequences.

The Rowle family raised her, gave her the best of everything, and they didn’t owe her a thing.

If she still wasn’t content, then the Rowle family wouldn’t tolerate her any longer.

Right now, in front of the Rowle Group building.

Asher and Henry got into the car, their faces so dark it looked like a storm was brewing.

“That damn girl is seriously cunning. No wonder she keeps outsmarting the others,” Asher said through gritted teeth.

They knew Ophelia wasn’t easy to deal with and thought they were prepared, but she still managed to outmaneuver them.

Henry sighed. “Guess we never saw that coming.”

“It’s all Zoe’s fault. That idiot’s been living under the Rowle family roof every single day and still manages to mess everything up. I honestly don’t know how she gets anything done.”

Asher spat with disgust. “With that pathetic ability, she actually dares to negotiate with me, wants me to hand over the Caldwell marriage to her? Is she even qualified?”

“So what now?” Henry asked, glancing sideways at Asher to gauge his mood.

“What?” Asher shot back, his irritation clear. “What else can we do? Even if I go talk to that idiot Zoe, what’s the point?”

“Asher, what I mean is, if they tell Tristan about this, we’re screwed,” Henry said, worry written all over his face. “We came back just to get a shot at HQ, and now with all this mess, I’m afraid Tristan will kick us out and ban us from ever coming back.”

Asher’s face darkened even more. This was a real mess.

After a moment of thought, Asher narrowed his eyes, a cold, ruthless glint flashing in them. “Zoe’s the one who screwed up, so she’s the one who takes the fall.”

“But can we really get past Tristan?” Henry asked, looking genuinely worried.

Asher gave Henry a dirty look. “You’re always scared of everything. How are you ever gonna make it big?”

“Who cares if I make it or not? As long as you do, I get to enjoy the ride,” Henry replied with an innocent, carefree grin.

Asher’s expression softened a little. “Let’s make the first move. We’ll talk to Tristan before anyone else does.” “Alright,” Henry said, something dark flashing in his eyes, though on the surface he looked like he was just going along with Asher.

After signing the contract, Ophelia and Ella headed back to the office.

Leaning back in her chair, sipping the coffee Ella had made, Ophelia finally felt she could breathe again.

“Boss, is Mr. Caldwell okay now? So you’ll be able to come in every day from now on?” Ella asked, chatting casually as she sipped her own coffee.

“Normally, yeah,” Ophelia replied. She was really grateful to Ella for keeping things running at the office lately, but she knew she couldn’t rely on her for everything forever.

“Boss, you’ve been by Mr. Caldwell’s side all this time. Any progress on the romance front?” Ella asked, her curiosity genuine.

Seeing that Ella was just curious and not trying to gossip, Ophelia replied with a calm shrug, “Not really.”

“No way!” Ella gave Ophelia a once-over, her face full of doubt. Boss, don’t tell me you’re… you know, not

“What do you mean, I’m not working?” Ophelia’s eyes flashed coldly. That sounded seriously off.
