Chapter 352
“What did you just say?” Ophelia frowned, giving him a look that screamed ‘Seriously?’
“I just mean, seeing you makes me feel better,” Alaric said, putting on his best innocent face with a shrug.
Ophelia couldn’t help but roll her eyes at him. ‘That’ll teach you to talk nonsense, she thought.
“I really mean it, nothing else,” Alaric explained, giving her a gentle, reassuring smile.
“You really think I’m buying that?” Ophelia shot him a warning glare. “Don’t mess with my work, or you’re not leaving the hospital.”
“Don’t worry,” Alaric replied, tilting his chin up with a cocky grin, trying to reassure her.
Ophelia let out a quiet sigh, opened the car door, and got in.
Alaric arched an eyebrow smugly and hopped into the passenger seat.

“Huh?” Ella was still trying to process what he said, but Alaric had already walked off.
Ella stood there for a moment, totally stunned, her eyes going wide in disbelief.
‘So Mr. Caldwell’s only here because of Boss and George Brown?’ Ella thought, her mind racing.
“Whoa, fresh gossip right in my lap,” Ella chuckled to herself, feeling pretty pleased.
She’d been wondering why Mr. Caldwell was even here. Well, now she totally got it!
“Oh wow, Mr. Caldwell is so smitten with Boss. Honestly, I’m jealous,” Ella beamed, practically glowing. ‘At this rate, I bet we’ Il be hearing some major news soon, she thought.
In the office.
Ophelia and Alaric took a seat by the couch.
They’d picked up breakfast on the way, simple and light, but still nutritious enough.
“You should eat more,” Ophelia said, handing one of the breakfast bags to Alaric.
She took the other for herself and started eating, lost in thought as she
“What are you thinking about?” Alaric asked casually.
