Chapter 367
Chapter 367
Ophelia curled her lips into a faint, cold smile. ‘No wonder she’s a big star, she’s quite the actress,’ Ophelia thought.
She put on a generous and graceful act in front of the family, but when no one was watching, her true nature slipped out
anyway.
Bianca, backed by the Rowle family and blessed with her own looks and talent, had definitely made waves in the entertainment world. But maybe things had gone too smoothly for her, making her a little too proud, bordering on
arrogance.
Still, Bianca’s arrogance depended on who she was dealing with. Just look at how she treated Ophelia and the rest of the Rowle family.
“I know a bit,” Ophelia said, raising her eyebrow with playful interest. “Want me to check it out for you?”
“No need,” Bianca replied, shaking her head and acting all chill. “I was only asking since you’re about to give Grandpa some medicine. As long as you know what you’re doing, that’s cool. Otherwise, we wouldn’t let Grandpa take it.”
She made it sound like she was genuinely worried about Tristan, just asking out of concern.
“Bianca, you don’t have to worry. Ophelia’s always the one who makes Grandpa’s medicinal tea,” Victoria said with a smile, her gaze steady as she backed Ophelia up.
Even though Bianca’s question seemed normal, Victoria just couldn’t shake off that uncomfortable feeling.
“If Ophelia says she can handle it, of course I trust her,” Bianca replied with a polite smile at Victoria.
“Don’t worry about Grandpa. But you, Bianca, you seem to have a lot bottled up lately, probably stressing yourself out too much,” Ophelia said, her voice tinged with concern.
“You really should take it easy, get some rest, and if there’s something you’re obsessing over but can’t get, maybe it’s better to let it go for your own sake.”
Bianca’s face darkened a little. She couldn’t shake the feeling that Ophelia was mocking her.
‘Is she telling me to stop dreaming about Alaric, since I’ll never get him?’ Bianca thought.
“Ophelia, don’t joke around. I’m doing just fine,” Bianca said, trying to keep up appearances even though she was feeling frustrated inside.
Ophelia frowned in confusion. “Bianca, didn’t you just say you trusted me? Were you not being honest?”
“Of course not,” Bianca replied awkwardly, forcing a smile. “I honestly don’t feel sick at all.”
“It was just a friendly reminder. Whether you believe it or not is up to you,” Ophelia shrugged, acting indifferent, though there was a hint of hurt in her eyes.
“Ophelia, that’s enough! Bianca’s a celebrity, a public figure. If people start talking about what you said, do you know how much drama that could stir up for her?” Daphne snapped, clearly annoyed. “What’s your real motive here?”
‘Is she trying to jinx Bianca, or just calling her a liar?’ Daphne wondered.
“I’m just keeping it real. She asked, so I answered, simply as that.” Ophelia shot her a cold look and fired back, “Seriously, what do you think I’m up to?”
“I…” Daphne faltered, shrinking back, her voice barely above a whisper
She was still pretty intimidated by Ophelia, especially after Zoe got shipped off overseas by her and never came back. Since then, Daphne did her best to steer clear of Ophelia, fading into the background whenever they had to be in the same room.
She’d only snapped at Ophelia because she couldn’t stand hearing her talk about Bianca like that. In her panic, the words just slipped out.
Now, meeting Ophelia’s icy stare, Daphne’s nerves were shot. She mumbled, almost too quiet to hear, “I… I just wanted to remind you to be careful about Bianca’s reputation.”
“Did I say anything that would mess with Bianca’s image?” Ophelia replied coolly, glancing away. “Why are you so jumpy? Anyone watching might think I actually struck a nerve.”
“I didn’t mean it like that,” Daphne said, her voice small and eves pleading as she looked at Bianca. She really wasn’t trying to stir up trouble. She just wanted to look out force

Bianca gritted her teeth and jumped in to smoothings over for Dapi. Ophelia, Daphne’s just a little impulsive sometimes. Don’t hold it against her.”
