Ophelia Gets Thrown Out (Ophelia) novel Chapter 390

Chapter 390

‘What could possibly be wrong at Rowle Manor?’ Alaric thought

Ophelia’s face was clouded, clearly troubled. Alaric added, “Don’t worry. Tristan had Ms. Rowle bring some tea to my grandfather this morning. If anything’s happened, it probably isnt about him.”

He figured the only one at Rowle Manor she’d really worry about was Tristan.

Hearing that, Ophelia felt a wave of relief wash over her. ‘If that’s the case, then it probably isn’t Grandpa, she thought.

But then she frowned. ‘Grandpa asked Ms. Rowle to bring tea to Zachary, but it ended up with Alaric instead. That’s kind of… odd, she thought.

Still, she didn’t dwell on it. After all, it was between Tristan and Zachary.

Once they stepped out of New City Tower, they got into the car

When they pulled up at Rowle Manor and saw all those cars in the driveway, Ophelia’s eyes narrowed in alarm.

“Everyone’s here?” Ophelia muttered, her face growing tense. ‘What happened?’

Alaric’s eyes also grew serious, his expression darkening.

‘Looks like all the family’s big shots are here. What the hell happened at the Rowle place?’ Alaric wondered.

They traded a heavy look, then hurried into the villa.

As soon as they walked in, Ophelia spotted Adrian and Victoria. She rushed over, her voice anxious, “Mom, what’s going on?”

Victoria let out a worried sigh, shaking her head. “Your grandpa’s sick.”

Ophelia’s eyes widened in shock. “What? How is that possible?”

Her grandpa had lost his appetite lately, but she’d made sure there was nothing seriously wrong. ‘How could he suddenly fall ill like this?’ she thought, feeling uneasy.

“We don’t know yet. The doctor’s here, and Miles just got back too. They’re all in your grandpa’s room,” Adrian said, sounding heavy-hearted. “Let’s wait and see.”

“Miles is back?” Ophelia murmured, her gaze automatically drifting toward Tristan’s room.

“Yeah, he just got home and the first thing he did was check on Grandpa, only to find something was off,” Adrian explained.” Good thing Miles came back when he did, or things could’ve been a lot worse.”

“Oh, this is all on me! If I’d known, I never would’ve gone to the spa. If I’d been home, maybe I could’ve caught it sooner,”

Scarlett said, her voice full of regret.

Ophelia’s eyes clouded with worry as she turned to Asher and asked in a low, serious voice, “Weren’t you supposed to be looking after Grandpa? Do you know what happened?”

“Grandpa said he was tired and wanted to rest, so I took him back to his room. I was going to call him for lunch, but since Miles came back, we went to check on him earlier, and that’s when we found him unconscious. Honestly, I have no idea what happened,”

Asher said, looking frustrated. “I only realized what was going on when Miles and I walked into his room together.”

“Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. The doctor’s here, and so is Miles. Let’s just wait and see,” Henry said quietly, though his worried face gave away his real feelings.

Ophelia went silent. Miles was her third brother, a PhD from Clearwater University, always buried in his research. He’d been locked away working on his latest project, so even though he’d been back for a while, she hadn’t seen him at all.
