Ophelia Gets Thrown Out (Ophelia) novel Chapter 414

Chapter 414

“Uncle Asher, why don’t you stay and have some tea with me? I actually wanted to talk to you about Grandpa’s condition,”

Miles said, stepping in front of Asher to block his way.

Before Asher knew it, Ophelia had vanished from sight.

Asher felt a surge of anxiety, but he couldn’t do anything about

If he made his feelings too obvious, he’d be giving himself away

Scarlett shot a glance at them, bit her lips, and said, “You two go ahead and talk. I’ll go see if Ophelia needs any help.”

Miles gave Scarlett a dismissive look and ignored her.

‘Whatever, let her go. Ophelia can handle it herself, Miles thought.

Besides, he couldn’t be too aggressive. If he was, Asher might start to catch on to what they were up to.

Meanwhile, Mr. Rowle’s room, Ophelia walked in and saw the butler was already there.

“Ophelia,” the butler said, his eyes rimmed with tears, sounding completely helpless. “Your grandpa’s not looking so good.”

“Let me take a look,” Ophelia said, quickly walking to her grandpa’s bedside and reaching out to feel his pulse.

But as soon as her fingers touched his wrist, her face darkened and her heart sank.

‘How could this be?’ Ophelia panicked.

‘Grandpa’s condition seems even worse.’

‘Just like I feared. If things keep going like this, Grandpa really won’t live much longer, Ophelia thought, her heart heavy with

worry.

“Call an ambulance. We need to get him to the hospital right now,” Ophelia said without hesitation.

Her grandpa definitely couldn’t stay here anymore. No matter what precautions they’d taken, it was obvious that the Rowle Manor wasn’t safe.

“Right away, Ophelia,” the butler nodded, rushing off to make the call.

Scarlett walked in just in time to catch that, feigning surprise, “Take him to the hospital? Didn’t you say earlier that moving

him wasn’t safe?”

‘When we tried to send him abroad, it was a huge issue, but now she gets to send him to the hospital and that’s totally fine?’ Scarlett thought, her irritation bubbling up.

‘She’s doing what she told us not to. Why is it suddenly not a problem? Just because she says so?’ Scarlett griped to herself.

“You know what? Maybe Uncle Asher and Aunt Scarlett were right after all. Sending Grandpa to the hospital really is the safest option,” Ophelia said, her voice trembling with anger she was barely holding back.

‘Honestly, sometimes I wonder if they even have a shred of humanity left, Ophelia thought in frustration.

But this wasn’t the moment to argue about it. Her grandpa’s life came first.

“No way, I don’t agree,” Scarlett snapped, her tone hard as steel. Ophelia, don’t forget. This isn’t your place to make

decisions. You can’t just keep acting out and doing whatever you want over and over again.”

“Yeah, I’m being willful. So what, Aunt Scarlett? What are you gonna do about it?” Ophelia shot back, her eyes gloomy and her voice cold.

‘She seriously thinks she can pin all the blame on me?’ Ophelia fumed.

“You…” Scarlett choked, instinctively stepping back, intimidated by Ophelia’s anger.

‘This damn girl gets scary fast when she puts on that face, Scarlett thought, a chill running down her spine.

“Aunt Scarlett, Grandpa got worse while you were supposed to be looking after him. Now you’re trying to stop us. What, are you feeling guilty or something?” Ophelia pressed, her words sharp as knives. Scarlett instantly looked rattled, blurting out, “Don’t be ridiculous! I’m not feeling guilty at all. Weren’t you the one who said he couldn’t be moved before?” “Well, now I’ve changed my mind. Why are you suddenly the one against it?” Ophelia fired back, her aura so fierce that Scarlett could barely hold her ground, her confidence crumblia under Optica’s glare.

Just then, the ambulance pulled over outside.
