Ophelia Gets Thrown Out (Ophelia) novel Chapter 419

Chapter 419

Still, hearing Alaric say that about Bianca was just…odd.

If Bianca ever caught wind of that, her reaction would be priceless.

Ophelia shrugged, putting on her most innocent look, “Whether talk to her or not doesn’t really matter. As long as you stay away from her, that’s all that matters.”

After all, she and Bianca were still family by blood, so it was inevitable they’d run into each other now and then.

It was obvious Bianca had a thing for Alaric and her feelings were written all over her face. So in the end, it was all up to

Alaric to handle it.

Alaric shot her his best puppy eyes, looking all heartbroken, “Oh, Ophelia, do you not love me anymore?”

Ophelia just facepalmed, speechless. ‘Where is this even coming from?’ she thought.

“You’re not allowed to talk to her either. She’s got it out for me, so you should totally hate her too, Alaric said, putting on a dramatic act, like if Ophelia didn’t side with him, she would be practically betraying him.

Ophelia could only sigh and tried to reassure him, “I’ll try.”

“No way, you have to promise,” Alaric insisted, refusing to back down a bit.

“I can’t promise that. We’re family. It’s not like I can avoid her forever,” Ophelia replied. After all, they’re both Rowles. Bumping into each other is just part of the deal.

Alaric frowned, and then relented a bit, “Fine, but at least don’t meet her alone.”

He wasn’t sure what Bianca was really capable of, but he just had this gut feeling there was more to her than met the eye.

Instinctively, Alaric just didn’t want Ophelia spending too much me with Bianca, especially not alone.

Ophelia narrowed her eyes and suddenly realized what Alaric was getting at.

She felt a dense of gentle warmth inside, and said with a smile, Alright, I get it.”

Only then did Alaric look satisfied and he said, “Just remember, anyone who’s got their eyes on your man is trouble. Don’t even bother with any of them.”

Ophelia’s lips twitched hard, and she couldn’t help but roll her eyes dramatically at Alaric before going back to her meal.

‘Seriously, he can’t act normal for more than three seconds,’ Ophelia thought.

Seeing her flushed face, Alaric smiled.

‘She’s shy after all, he thought, clearly entertained.

It wasn’t until after dinner that they finally went back to the hospital.

Outside the ICU, Bianca was standing there, her face dripping with gloom.

When she saw the two of them, her face eased up a bit, but she avoided looking at Alaric. Instead, she turned to Ophelia and asked, “Ophelia, is Grandpa’s condition really that bad?”.

“Take it easy. The doctors are on it,” Ophelia said, skirting the issue. Then she asked Bianca, “Are you staying here tonight to keep an eye on him?”

“Me?” Bianca froze for a second, totally caught off guard. She was just here to check on things, not planning to stick around for the night. ‘Wait, am I supposed to stay?’ she wondered.
