Ophelia Gets Thrown Out (Ophelia) novel Chapter 446

Chapter 446

“Bianca, let’s go,” Daphne murmured, tugging gently at Bianca’s sleeve and shooting her a look.

Sticking around and arguing wasn’t going to get them anywhere They’d better step out and figure out their next move.

Feeling everyone’s eyes on her, Bianca frowned, annoyed.

Right now, it felt like there was no single person here she could trust.

A wave of helplessness washed over her. ‘Is there really any hope left for me to save my parents?’ she thought.

“Let’s go, sis,” Daphne whispered, gently leading Bianca out of the room ahead of everyone else.

Bianca kept her head down, letting Daphne lead her away. She looked helpless, but it seemed she might be deep in thought about something.

Seeing Bianca silent, the rest of the family quietly filed out of Mr Rowle’s room one after another.

Only Ophelia and Grandpa Tristan were left in the room.

“Grandpa, what do you want to talk about?” Ophelia asked, her eyes sharp. She could tell he had something serious to say. “This is for you,” Grandpa Tristan said, taking a document out from a hidden compartment in the nightstand. Ophelia took it and flipped it open. Her eyes went wide. Wait, this was a will? “Grandpa, why are you giving this to me?” Grandpa Tristan let out a tired sigh and said, “Ever since your uncle Asher came back to the Rowle Manor, I started feeling weaker and weaker. So I figured I should make some plans, just in case.”

He had never thought his son Asher would actually drug him, trying to force him to sign everything over. If he refused, Asher wouldn’t have hesitated to finish him off. ‘How did things get this crazy?’ Grandpa Tristan thought, bitterness flashing in his eyes.

“I’ll just put the will here. If you ever need it, just take it,” Grandpa Tristan told Ophelia before he tucked the will back into its hiding spot.

Only the two of them knew about it, and Grandpa Tristan could finally rest easy.

“Why not leave it with a lawyer?” Ophelia asked, still puzzled. ‘Who is Grandpa trying to guard against?’ she wondered.

“I had a professional legal team put together the will, but I never announced it publicly. Right now, nobody knows about it. I’

m just trying to prevent anyone from causing trouble for the lawyers,” Grandpa Tristan said with a serious face. ‘They’re bold enough to come after me. There’s no way they’d spare anyone else, he thought.

Ophelia nodded knowingly and said, “I see, Grandpa. Don’t worry Your secret’s safe with me.”

‘He just wants some peace in his old age, Ophelia thought, ‘so of course he’s kept quiet about making a will.’

“Right now, you’re the only one I can really trust,” Grandpa Tristan said, his voice heavy with exhaustion. She could tell that this whole ordeal had left him feeling completely worn out.

“Don’t be so down, Grandpa. I know Dad and my brothers would never make things hard for you,” Ophelia said, trying to cheer him up. ‘There are still plenty of people you can rely on, she thought.

“It’s not that I doubt them,” Grandpa Tristan replied, locking eyes with Ophelia. “But they’re the ones running the family and the company. Everyone’s watching their every move. Only you can handle this with a clear mind, no strings attached.” His eyes lit up with pride as he looked at her.

Everyone else in the Rowle family had their own baggage, but not Ophelia. She was the only one who could step up holding back.

That was exactly why he trusted her, respected her, and believed in her, no matter what.
