Ophelia Gets Thrown Out (Ophelia) novel Chapter 474

Chapter 474

The next day, the sun was shining brightly.

Ophelia woke up feeling refreshed and showed up at the office in high spirits.

“Ms. Rowle,” Anna said respectfully as she walked in, “here’s your coffee.”

“Thanks,” Ophelia replied, gesturing for Anna to set it down. Leaning back in her chair, she looked at Anna and asked, “Any changes to the artists’ schedules lately?”

“Nothing’s changed,” Anna thought for a moment before answering. “Except for Bianca. After the company handed a few projects to other people, she managed to land some good gigs on her own. She’s been pretty busy lately.”

Ophelia’s gaze flickered briefly before she instructed Anna, “Let me see them.”

‘Maybe I can find some clues in those projects, Ophelia thought to herself.

‘If the company isn’t giving Bianca any resources, but she’s still landing good gigs, it’s probably connected to that person,’ Ophelia mused.

“Sure,” Anna replied, rummaging through the papers on the desk. “Here it is. I already organized it and left it here.”

Ophelia gave a satisfied smile. “Good job.”

‘Anna’s really sharp, Ophelia thought. ‘She had it ready before I even asked.’

After Anna left, Ophelia opened the file and looked through it carefully. All the projects seemed pretty standard for someone of Bianca’s status, but what really caught her eye was that every single one was backed by the same production

company.

“Could the person behind this company be that one?” Ophelia said in a low voice, her eyes growing darker as she speculated.

O

The thought flashed through her mind, and she immediately called Ella. “I’m sending you a file. Dig into the company behind it for me. The more details, the better.”

Ella’s voice came through, full of admiration. “Wow, you already got a lead? That’s why you’re the boss.”

Ophelia couldn’t help but shake her head, half amused, half exasperated. “Are you feeling guilty about something?”

‘Why does she sound so guilty while buttering me up?’ Ophelia thought.

“Come on, Boss, you’re reading too much into it,” Ella said with a playful grin, trying to please her. “I’d never do anything shady. I just think you’re awesome for finding clues so fast.”

She already had people digging into it, but nothing had come up yet.

Now that they had a new lead, maybe things would go a lot smoother.

“But Boss, Bianca schemed against you before, then suddenly went quiet, and now she’s getting close to this mysterious person. What’s her endgame?

“Maybe she knows she can’t take you down alone, so she’s looking for backup to go after you?” Ella said, her tone turning serious as she speculated.

Honestly, Ella knew Bianca was never someone one could underestimate.

“Maybe,” Ophelia replied, a meaningful glint in her eyes.

‘Who knows if Bianca’s ambition stops at Alaric, or if she’s got her sights set on something bigger… Ophelia wondered to herself.

“We should definitely keep our guard up. She’s never the type to play by the rules,” Ella scoffed, clearly annoyed.

“That’s for sure,” Ophelia replied, a mocking smile tugging at her lips. ‘She really can’t stay out of trouble, can she?’ she thought to herself.

Ophelia reminded Ella of a few things, and once Ella promised to handle it, she ended the call.

Ophelia fixed her gaze on the file, her eyes narrowing with a chill.

‘Bianca, let’s see what kind of game you’re playing, Ophelia mused to herself.

Knock, knock, knock.
