Ophelia Gets Thrown Out (Ophelia) novel Chapter 480

Chapter 480

George leaned back in his chair, his tone cold and commanding. “Find out every single thing Alaric and his people did in Calithra. I want all the details, nothing left out, including…”

He paused, then added quietly, almost to himself, “Ophelia too.”

Alaric just mentioned that Ophelia saved his life. ‘Did something else happen in Calithra that I don’t know about?’ George wondered, suspicion flickering in his eyes.

The moment they walked into the director’s office at Rowle Entertainment, Ophelia checked on his condition.

“Have you been feeling dizzy since this morning?” Ophelia asked, a hint of worry flickering in her eyes.

“Yeah,” Alaric answered honestly, sounding a bit calmer. “I’ve felt dizzy ever since I woke up, but it’s not that bad. It doesn’t really get in the way, and I can handle work just fine.”

That was why he waited until noon to come see her.

After checking Alaric carefully, Ophelia’s eyes darkened, her expression growing more grave.

“Push your meetings tomorrow. I’ll detox you then,” she said. Even though the poison hadn’t spread and was under control,

it was still lingering in his system, and it was clearly still affecting him.

Alaric hesitated for a moment before asking, “How long will the detox take?”

Ophelia studied him, her gaze growing serious. “Do you have something important going on tomorrow?”

“Yeah, the person in charge from Calithra is coming over,” Alaric said honestly.

“Is there something up?” Ophelia asked, a bit puzzled. “Wasn’t everything already settled over there?”

‘Why is the person in charge suddenly coming over? And from the look on Alaric’s face, this must be a big deal,’ Ophelia thought.

“We haven’t signed the contract yet, and there are still a few details to sort out tomorrow,” Alaric said, giving Ophelia’s hand a gentle squeeze. “So, should we do the detox the day after, or maybe sometime tomorrow?”

“Tomorrow,” Ophelia replied after a short pause, deciding quickly. “I’ll come to your office.”

This way, nothing gets delayed for either of them. Alaric can take care of his work first, and Ophelia will have time to prepare what she needs. Then we can do the detox when the time comes.

After all, he might need to rest for a couple of hours after the detox, since moving around could be tough.

It worked out for both of them and didn’t mess up their schedules.

Hearing this, Alaric grabbed her hand and pressed a dramatic kiss to the back of it, sighing, “You’re the one who loves me most, Ophelia. You just can’t stand to see me suffer.”

Ophelia couldn’t help but roll her eyes, swatting his hand away with obvious annoyance. Stepping back, she said sternly,” Don’t forget my consultation fee.”

“I could hand over everything I own, even the whole Caldwell Group,” Alaric said with absolute sincerity. Then, with a pleading look, he added, “As long as you promise to keep me around, Ophelia.”

“What kind of CEO goes around begging a girl to spoil him?” Ophelia muttered, pressing a hand to her forehead, totally speechless.
