Ophelia Gets Thrown Out (Ophelia) novel Chapter 482

Chapter 482

It was only now that Bianca finally regained her composure. She’d been so furious earlier that she’d stormed in to confront Ophelia, but the moment she stepped inside, it hit her that, Ophelia wasn’t someone she could just push around.

And after that humiliating scene, the last thing she wanted was for Ophelia to find out. That would just make her feel even more humiliated.

“Yeah,” Bianca said, forcing herself to calm down, her voice tinged with complaint. “Why did you give all my projects to someone else? Ophelia, did you really come to Rowle Group just to make things difficult for me?”

Otherwise, she honestly couldn’t figure out why Ophelia was always targeting her.

Every single project she’d set her sights on had been snatched away by Ophelia and handed to someone else.

“That’s part of it,” Ophelia admitted, unfazed.

“Why?” Bianca’s eyes went wide in shock. She’d come here to call Ophelia out, but she hadn’t expected Ophelia to just own up to it like that.

“Projects belong to the company, not just you. So of course they get handed out fairly,” Ophelia said, arms crossed, shooting Bianca a look. “And if I’ve been tough on you, it’s just to remind you to know your place.”

“You!” Bianca’s face turned livid with rage.

‘Why does it sound like Ophelia’s the reasonable one here? I’m the one being targeted!’ Bianca fumed inwardly.

“You’ve been monopolizing the company’s top resources for years. Out of consideration for family, I let it go before, but from now on, you need to show some restraint,” Ophelia said, her voice calm as she gave Bianca a piece of advice.

Bianca felt her blood rush to her head, her head spinning.

‘Is this what passes for family?’ Bianca grumbled to herself, still reeling.

‘Is she seriously just mocking me right now?’ she fumed, her anger simmering.

“Ophelia, I’m part of Rowle Group too! If I have what it takes to land those top projects, how is that me hogging resources?” Bianca shot back, struggling to keep her anger in check as she tried to justify herself.

“Exactly, you’re just one member of the company. It’s not all about you, so of course the resources have to be distributed,” Ophelia replied, sounding thoroughly impatient. “If that’s all you wanted to say, you can see yourself out.”

Ophelia wasn’t going to budge on this. Bianca was going to have to suck it up, whether she liked it or not.

Bianca glared at Ophelia, teeth clenched. “Does Oliver know you’re running the company like this?”

“Of course he does,” Ophelia replied with an innocent shrug. “My reports are always filed properly, just like they’re supposed to be.”

“Forget it, I don’t need to report my work to you anyway,” Ophelia said, waving her off. “Now get out.”

Ophelia’s attitude was like she was shooing away a pesky pet, and Bianca’s face turned ashen with rage.

“Oh, and another thing. The company’s letting you off the hook for those side gigs you took, but just remember to have the payments sent to the company account. You’ll get your usual cut from us,” Ophelia reminded her.

“Ophelia, don’t you think you’re going too far?” Bianca finally exploded, her voice rising. “You won’t give me any company projects, so I take on outside work, and now you want a piece of my paycheck too?”

‘Since when did Ophelia become such a slavedriver?’ Bianca fumed inwardly.

“That’s company policy. You know that, right?” Ophelia added, her tone turning cold. “Taking outside jobs without permission is against the rules. I’m already letting it slide because we’re family, and you’re still not happy?”

Bianca was so furious she nearly spat blood.
