Ophelia Gets Thrown Out (Ophelia) novel Chapter 483

Chapter 483

“Good,” Ophelia replied, looking pretty pleased and nodding in approval.

Bianca felt a metallic taste rise in her throat, her face going pale as she turned and bolted out of the room.

Watching her scurry away, Ophelia shrugged innocently. “Why’s she running? I already said I’m not going to hold it against her.”

Once Bianca was out of sight, Ophelia’s gaze darkened.

‘Seriously, with that little self-control, what does she think she can actually accomplish by teaming up with others? What could she possibly hope to achieve?’ Ophelia mused.

‘And that cringeworthy performance she put on outside, how did Bianca ever become such a glamorous celebrity? Was it just because she hogged all the company’s best resources and got propped up by the higher-ups?’ Ophelia scoffed inwardly.

‘And she still thinks she has a shot with Alaric? She seriously needs to get her head examined, Ophelia thought, rolling her

eyes.

Back in her lounge, Bianca stormed in, totally losing it, and slammed everything off her desk, papers, pens, whatever, sending it all flying.

The crash and bang made her assistant cower in the corner, too scared to even make a sound.

“Ophelia! Alaric! You guys are unbelievable!” Bianca shrieked, her voice cracking with fury.

After getting worked over by both of them, her chest felt so tight she could barely breathe, like she was about to pass out.

The more she dwelled on it, the worse it got. Finally, she couldn’t take it anymore, clutching her chest, she slumped to the floor, her voice trembling and weak. “Call… call an ambulance.”

The assistant could tell Bianca was trying to say something, but she couldn’t make out a word, she had to get right up next to her just to hear what she was saying.

When she saw Bianca’s face was white as a sheet, the assistant went pale herself, totally freaked out. She scrambled to call an ambulance.

Ten minutes later, the paramedics showed up and whisked Bianca away.

Word got to Ophelia pretty fast that Bianca had been rushed to the hospital.

“Ms. Rowle, is Bianca really going to be okay? She was almost completely out of it when the ambulance came,” Anna said,

still shaken.

She was totally fine just a minute ago, and then suddenly she passed out and got carted off by the paramedics. It was honestly kind of scary.

“The ambulance already came, so she’ll be fine,” Ophelia said aloud, though she was certain in her heart that Bianca was in no real danger.

It was probably just a bout of angina brought on by her own fury. As long as they got her treated quickly, there was nothing to worry about.

‘What a drama queen, Ophelia muttered with a sneer.

Anna didn’t quite hear her and, sounding curious, asked, “Ms. Rowle, what did you say?”

“Nothing,” Ophelia replied coolly. “Pick up some flowers and send them to the hospital.”

“Oh, okay,” Anna said, nodding as she headed out to take care of it.

Ophelia leaned back in her chair, a faint smirk tugging at her lips. ‘Honestly, her little schemes are nothing to worry about,’ she thought.

‘But I wonder who’s really pulling the strings behind her…’ Ophelia mused, her eyes narrowing.

The next day.

Ophelia was at Caldwell Group first thing in the morning.

“Boss, over here!” Ella called out the moment Op

Ophelia glanced over and saw Ella jogging up,
