Rhoda Ford grabbed a glass of wine and turned around just in time to see Stella Hawthorne walking in.
She marched right up to her, blocking her path. "How did you sneak in without an invitation? Did you sleep with the security guards at the door to get past them?"
"Don't project your own filthy mindset onto other people's actions. Only someone with a dirty mind assumes everything else is just as dirty."
Stella found her incredibly annoying. She really wanted to jab her with an acupuncture needle and render her completely mute!
"Is that not it? Then tell me, how did you get in here without an invitation?"
Stella's voice was ice cold. "That's none of your business. Move!"
Rhoda stepped in front of her again. "I won't. You don't belong in a place like this. Leave on your own right now, otherwise it's going to get really embarrassing for you when they throw you out."
She simply couldn't stand the sight of her. Seeing the other woman only reminded her of the humiliating loss she had suffered. She despised her and absolutely did not want her mingling here to hook a rich man.
Stella was wearing a white evening gown today, its cinched waist flawlessly accentuating the curves of her figure.
Her slender waist and enviably long legs were so striking that one couldn't look away after just a single glance.
Paired with her innocent face and ethereal aura, she looked as pure and radiant as a morning dewdrop, breathtakingly beautiful and effortlessly captivating.
This filled Rhoda with a burning jealousy. She didn't have a figure like that, nor was she anywhere near as pretty.
Stella had no desire to waste her breath on her; she just wanted to walk away and find Sylvie Jennings.
But there was no way Rhoda was going to let her off that easy.
She tilted the glass of red wine in her hand, fully intending to splash it all over that pristine white dress and make her a laughingstock.
The moment she moved, Stella anticipated exactly what she was about to do. With a light, calculated tap to Rhoda's wrist, the entire glass of red wine sloshed backward, soaking Rhoda's own outfit.
