Weber aggressively poked Jason in the chest.
Jason forcefully smacked his hand away, his eyes furious. "Keep your hands to yourself. You disgust me."
Weber was famously unapologetic about his chaotic, indiscriminate hookups, and Jason felt physically repulsed having the guy touch him.
Weber's face darkened with ugly malice. "Hmph! Let's see how much attitude you have in a few minutes!"
He absolutely despised Jason. Jason was richer, better looking, and blocked him at every single turn.
His entire goal today was to utterly humiliate Jason and establish utter dominance in front of an audience.
That was why he had turned this into a massive circus.
Between the competing riders and the crowd of spectators, there were well over two hundred people swarming the base of the hill, including a swarm of journalists eager to cover the spectacle.
Ignoring him entirely, Jason scanned the massive crowd, searching for Stella.
He checked his watch. Fifteen minutes until the green light.
He wasn't panicking. If Stella said she was going to be here, she was going to be here.
Finding a quiet rock away from the noise, he sat down to wait.
He was halfway through a cigarette when someone firmly tapped him on the shoulder.
He spun around to find a petite figure standing before him, clad head-to-toe in sleek, form-fitting black racing leathers and a matte full-face helmet.
"You finally made it."
"Did you actually think I was going to bail on you?"
"No, you're a woman of your word. Where's your bike?"
Stella pointed a gloved finger toward where Carter Coleman was standing a short distance away. "Over there."
