Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 182

"I went ahead and ordered a few things, Jason. I'm not sure if it suits your taste, so take a look and order whatever you like."

"No need. I'll eat whatever you ordered. I'm not a picky eater."

Sabrina raised an eyebrow. Had he completely changed?

Back in high school, when they ate in the cafeteria, Jason was the pickiest eater alive.

He used to skip meals constantly, so the teachers, worried about his health, tasked her with dragging him to lunch every day.

He refused to eat celery, garlic, squash, carrots, fatty meat, duck... the list was endless!

She had no idea how the Blackwood family had managed to keep him alive.

So today, she had ordered based on his old habits, making sure to include his favorites. She wondered if his tastes had changed.

While waiting for the food, Sabrina brought up the phone call she had made to Hammer.

After listening, Jason asked, "That's a good move, but you need to watch out for Logan and that so-called best friend of yours retaliating."

"I'm not worried. I want them to lose everything first, and then I'm going to lock them up. That's why I need a favor. I need you to get me the security footage of them drugging me."

"Ah, so this is the real reason you invited me to dinner," Jason said. So much for thanking him; she had an ulterior motive all along.

"Partly, yes, but I also genuinely wanted to thank you for your help last night. For old times' sake, please help me out one more time. I'll owe you."

Just then, the waiter arrived with their food.
