Logan considered it for a moment. "You're right. She's furious right now. Once she calms down, we'll ask her out. If I play the victim and sweet-talk her a little, she'll take me back."
Despite plotting their strategy, Logan didn't even get the chance to contact Sabrina before pure panic set in.
The very next morning, shortly after arriving at his office, an executive burst through the door. "Mr. Hale, the Sherwood Group just terminated every single contract with us."
Logan leaped out of his chair, absolutely horrified. "What did you just say? Terminated all contracts?!"
Two-thirds of the Hale family's business came directly from the Sherwood Group, and they were by far the most lucrative projects on the ledger. If all those partnerships were severed, the Hale family's corporation would be annihilated.
"Yes, Mr. Hale. Even the multi-million dollar contract we were scheduled to sign today—the assistant to the Sherwood CEO called this morning to officially withdraw the offer."
Logan weakly waved a hand, dismissing the executive.
He collapsed heavily into his leather chair.
This was entirely Sabrina's doing. This was her scorched-earth revenge.
She was genuinely out for blood!
If he had known it would come to this, he never would have listened to that bitch Ashley's toxic advice. Sabrina had trusted him implicitly. If he hadn't been so insanely eager to blackmail and control her, she never would have retaliated like this.
Why couldn't he just be patient?!
His absolute top priority right now was winning Sabrina back. Only by making her change her mind could he re-secure the Sherwood family's resources.
Otherwise, his company was totally doomed!
Forcing himself to breathe, he dialed Sabrina's number.
Seeing his caller ID, Sabrina rejected the call and instantly blocked his number. While she was at it, she blocked Ashley's number too.
