"Not at all, Mr. Jeter, the food was excellent. My doctor just advised me to only eat until I'm seventy percent full for dinner."

"Oh, I see. Well then, let's wrap it up here and move to the living room for some tea and a chat."

If the guest had put down his silverware, the host could hardly keep eating.

As Julius stood up, he felt a sudden wave of heat wash over him, accompanied by a wave of dizziness. He pinched the bridge of his nose.

Catching his discomfort, Yvonne hid a thrill of excitement. "Julius, are you not feeling well? Let me take you upstairs to rest."

Catherine quickly chimed in, "Yes, Julius, if you're not feeling well, just head upstairs. We have plenty of guest rooms."

Yvonne was already stepping forward to grab his arm.

Julius shook his head violently to clear his mind and forcefully shoved Yvonne's hands away.

He hadn't had a drop of alcohol tonight. He only took one sip of juice, and everything else he ate was from shared dishes.

If he couldn't put two and two together and realize Yvonne had drugged his drink, he would have to be an absolute idiot.

He couldn't believe she actually had the nerve to drug him in her own home.

Did her parents know?

Were they oblivious, or were they accomplices?

Thank God he had only taken a tiny sip. If he had downed the whole glass, he didn't even want to think about what would have happened.

Yvonne refused to give up. She reached for his arm again, trying to forcefully guide him toward the stairs.

Julius shoved her away again. He was dizzy, but it wasn't severely impacting his ability to think and judge.

Yvonne was trying to trap him; there was no way in hell he was going upstairs with her.

He pulled out his phone and called his bodyguard. "Get in here, now!"

The bodyguard had been waiting outside. He moved lightning fast, rushing into the house in under a minute.

He supported Julius's weight. "Sir."

"We're leaving."
