Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 327

After spending two days keeping Nadine company at the estate, Stella received a call from Norma.

"Stella, someone is offering twenty million online for a custom Sesame Blossom artisanal stoneware coffee service. Do you want to take the commission?"

"No."

"Stella, do you hate money or something? It's twenty million!"

"It's just twenty million. I'm not in the mood to make it." Crafting those pieces was mentally and physically exhausting. She was feeling way too lazy for it.

"Alright, alright. You're the rich boss, whatever you say. By the way, the World Combat Championship kicks off in Mistralia Country in two days. Do you want to go check out the action?"

"A tournament that huge will definitely be broadcast live. Can't I just watch it online? Why bother flying all the way out there?" She hated traveling if she didn't have to.

"Sure, you can watch the official matches online. But I got some insider info. Supposedly, there are underground exhibition matches between the top fighters after the official tournament ends. Whichever country wins gets the hosting rights for the next championship. Are you telling me you're not interested in that?"

Stella raised an eyebrow. "Is this information reliable?"

"Stella, my dear, this is an exclusive scoop I got through some very special channels. Of course it's reliable."

Stella thought it over. That actually sounded worth the trip. Plus, she'd be back in plenty of time for the holidays, which were only a week away.

"Alright, I'll go check it out. Get me a ticket."

"You got it."

That evening, after Julius got home and they had dinner, Stella told him about her plans to go abroad for a few days.

"Why are you going to Mistralia Country?"

They had been married for four months, and she hardly ever went anywhere. Why the sudden trip abroad?

"What, Julius, are you trying to restrict my freedom? You're not going to let me go?"

"No, of course not. I just worry about your safety, so obviously I want to know the details."

"The World Combat Championship is happening there in two days. I want to go watch."

"Oh really? What did I forget?"

"You forgot to pack me. So, I brought myself over to you. Surprise?"

Stella was genuinely taken aback. He hadn't said a word, and now here he was, popping out of nowhere. From the sound of it, he was flying to Mistralia Country with her.

Having her husband tag along on the trip was a fantastic surprise.

It must have been incredibly difficult for a man as busy as Julius to drop everything and fly across the world just to keep her company. No wonder he had been working late the past couple of days.

"You're the best, honey."

Stella beamed, looking absolutely radiant. Several people waiting at the gate couldn't help but stare.

A few people even thought they looked like the perfect power couple and pulled out their phones to sneak a picture.

Julius immediately pulled Stella's face into his chest and shot an icy glare at the would-be photographers. The terrified onlookers quickly shoved their phones away, muttering, "Sorry."
