Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 329

Stella playfully shook his arm, teasing him with a question she already knew the answer to. "So, do you regret listening to Grandma and marrying me now?"

Julius gently pinched her cheek. "You little troublemaker, you know exactly how I feel about you. Why would I ever regret it? If anything, I should be thanking Grandma for faking that illness so we could get married."

Otherwise, he never would have won her over so easily.

Stella pouted in protest. "Why do you keep pinching my cheeks? You're going to squish my face permanently out of shape."

Julius took the opportunity to pinch her again. "It's not out of shape, I'm barely using any force. Your skin is so soft and flawless, I just can't help myself."

The main reason was that she didn't have layers of foundation or messy makeup plastered all over her face. Her complexion was radiant and clean, like a baby's skin. It felt so incredibly soft that once he started touching her, he didn't want to stop.

"Then I get to pinch you back to even the score," Stella declared. She lifted both hands and began squishing his handsome face this way and that, genuinely distorting his features.

Julius didn't pull away. He just sat there, letting her hands roam all over his face until she finally got bored and stopped.

"Are your hands tired?" he murmured, taking her hands in his and gently massaging them.

"Nope. But Julius, why did you just let me squish you like that without stopping me?" Stella asked, looking at his slightly red, incredibly handsome face with a twinge of guilt.

"It's fine. You can squish my face whenever you want. Only you, though." If they weren't on an airplane, he wouldn't have been able to resist kissing her right then and there.

"Julius, why are you so good to me?"

"Silly girl, you're my wife. If I don't treat you well, who else am I going to treat well? We have over ten hours of flying left. Get some sleep if you're tired." He ruffled her hair affectionately.

"Okay." Stella adjusted her seat into a flat bed and closed her eyes to rest.

Within minutes, she was fast asleep.

Julius grabbed a blanket and carefully draped it over her, lightly tracing the peaceful lines of her sleeping face before reclining his own seat and closing his eyes.

After more than ten hours in the air, the plane finally touched down in Mistralia Country.

Stella looked at him, impressed. His English was completely flawless.

The car drove for about an hour before pulling up to a stunning private residence.

"Stella, we're here. Let's head inside."

"Alright."

After getting out of the car, Julius led her to the front door.

Stella watched as he expertly punched in a passcode to unlock it.

"Julius, is this your house?"

"Yeah. It's relatively close to the arena we're going to tomorrow, so I figured we'd stay here. I had someone come in and clean the place yesterday." Julius wheeled their luggage into the master bedroom and grabbed a pair of slippers for her.
