Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 330

"Unpack your things. I'm going to run a bath, and we can wash up together in a bit."

Julius said it so casually, but the words made Stella's face flush and her heart race.

How could he make taking a bath together sound like the most normal thing in the world?

Wasn't he going to ask if she actually wanted to?

But before she could say a word, he had already disappeared into the bathroom. Left with no other choice, she started unpacking, hanging her clothes in the closet and arranging her skincare products on the vanity.

By the time she finished organizing, Julius stepped out, the sound of running water echoing behind him.

"Honey, the water's ready. Let's go take a bath."

Stella took a step back. "You... you go first."

Julius scooped her up into his arms effortlessly. "It's not like we haven't showered together before. What are you getting so shy about? A husband and wife taking a bath together is perfectly normal. No need to be shy."

And just like that, the two of them ended up in the bathroom. The bath lasted for over an hour, and half the water in the tub ended up splashed onto the floor.

When it was finally over, Stella was carried out, her body completely limp and exhausted.

She didn't even remember him dressing her in her pajamas or blow-drying her hair; she had completely passed out from exhaustion.

She had to admit, when it came to physical stamina, Julius definitely had her beat.

The next day.

By the time the two of them finally woke up, it was already noon.

Stella stretched lazily and reached over to playfully touch the head resting on the pillow next to hers.

"Julius, aren't you going to work?"

"Yes." He even had a pilot's license.

"Alright, show-off. What are we eating?"

"Let's get steak. Mistralian food is mostly high-carb, heavy on the sugar, and packed with calories. There isn't really anything spectacular about it." Julius leaned over to buckle her seatbelt, stealing a quick kiss in the process.

Stella leaned in and kissed him back. "Sounds good. You're the boss." She wasn't exactly a huge fan of greasy burgers, fried chicken, or heavy cream either.

"We can only catch the afternoon matches anyway. The morning session is definitely over by now." Julius was in an excellent mood. His wife had actually returned his stolen kiss.

Stella shrugged, completely unbothered. "Going in the afternoon is fine. The morning is probably just the opening ceremony and a bunch of boring speeches anyway. It's a three-day event, there's no rush."

If she had actually cared about the opening ceremony, she would have flown in a day earlier. But she really didn't.

Even if Julius hadn't tagged along, she had originally planned to skip the morning and just show up for the afternoon matches anyway.
