Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 345

Seeing a massive object hurtling toward them, the crowd frantically scrambled out of the way.

Steve slammed into the ground, violently coughing up several mouthfuls of blood before instantly passing out. It was impossible to tell if he was dead or alive.

The referee officially declared Veridia Country the ultimate champion of the tournament.

In a dark corner of the arena, a man's face twisted into a deeply sinister scowl.

That exact same move!

He reached down and touched his own leg. That was the very same move that had crippled him!

He had spent years searching for the person who had done this to him, never expecting it to be her!

Since she had walked right into his trap, she had sealed her own fate.

She was on his turf now. Let's see how arrogant she could be when he was in control!

He clenched his fists tightly and silently slipped away with his subordinates.

Meanwhile, Julius had come to a new conclusion: his wife really loved kicking people!

As Stella stepped down from the ring, the team leader rushed over, trembling with excitement. "Thank you! You just won Veridia Country the right to host the next international martial arts tournament, and you brought glory to our nation in front of the entire world. Thank you so much."

"No need to thank me. I'm Veridian too. It's only right that I do what I can for my country. I assume you won't need me for the closing ceremonies, so I'll be heading out now. Goodbye."

"Wait, what's your name? Please leave your contact information. As soon as we get back, I am absolutely applying for a national commendation for you."

Stella immediately waved him off. "No, no, please don't do that. I did this voluntarily."

Awards like that always came with massive media circuses and endless press coverage. She had zero interest in being thrust into the public spotlight.

Fame only brought trouble!

Looking slightly disappointed, the leader sighed. "Alright then. I hope we cross paths again someday." He had secretly been hoping to recruit her into the national martial arts team.

"If it's meant to be, we will."

He quickly added a warning, "The people you just defeated might hold a grudge. Please be careful, and if you have no other business here, leave Mistralia Country as soon as possible."

Being back home was infinitely safer than being abroad.

The cars behind them immediately sped up, sticking to them like glue. There were too many of them to easily outmaneuver.

An intense high-speed chase tore through the streets.

Although Julius was an exceptional driver, the pursuers clearly knew the local roads far better than he did. They quickly began to box him in.

Eventually, the four vehicles managed to force Julius's car to a screeching halt, completely trapping them.

"We're surrounded," Julius said.

"Then let's get out and see exactly who wants us to stay so badly."

"Be careful," Julius warned. "Guns are legal here. They'll probably be armed."

"Understood."

Stepping out of the car, they found themselves face-to-face with someone they had encountered back in Veridia—Wilson.

Wilson casually leaned against his car door, flashing what he thought was a gentlemanly smile. "My beautiful lady, we meet again. Do you remember me?"
