Although Wilson couldn't move a muscle, he could still speak. Completely blindsided by her ruthless cunning, his face twisted into a dark scowl.
"You little bitch, you actually dared to ambush me?" And to think he had actually been trying to treat her well just moments ago.
"Shut up and tell them to pull the car over, or I'm going to get very violently uncooperative."
To prove her point, Stella aimed the gun at the windshield and pulled the trigger.
The glass was bulletproof, so it didn't shatter instantly, but a massive spiderweb crack bloomed across the surface. The bullet ricocheted, narrowly missing the bodyguard in the front seat and scaring him so badly he stopped breathing.
Wilson jumped out of his skin. "Are you out of your mind?! Firing a gun inside a moving car?!"
How could she be so completely reckless in such a confined space?
Stella aggressively jammed the barrel back against Wilson's temple. "If you don't tell them to stop right this second, the next bullet goes straight through your skull."
If they weren't in such a tight enclosed space, and if she wasn't worried about her own chemicals affecting the driver, she would have just drugged him.
Terrified that the crazy woman might actually pull the trigger, Wilson barked, "Pull over!"
The driver immediately swerved to the side of the road and slammed on the brakes.
Seeing the lead car stop, the escort vehicles in front and behind them quickly pulled over as well.
Keeping her gun pressed firmly against Wilson's head, Stella forced him out of the vehicle.
At the exact same moment, Julius stepped out of the other car, a bodyguard's gun pressed against his head.
Seeing Stella in complete control of the situation, a faint smirk touched Julius's lips.
He shifted slightly, his hands moving in a lightning-fast blur. In the blink of an eye, the gun pointed at him was suddenly in his own hands, and the bodyguard was now his hostage.
When Stella had been thrown into Wilson's car, he hadn't wanted to make a move, terrified it might put her in danger.
But he knew his wife. He knew she would flip the script the second she got the chance.
Wilson's face darkened. "If you don't believe me, then go ahead and call the cops. With my connections, I'll be out in no time anyway. But when I get out, it will be a fight to the death."
Stella glanced at Julius. "What do you think, honey?"
"He's right."
Julius turned his cold gaze back to Wilson. "We won't call the police, but on one condition. You give us a car so we can leave, and you don't send a single person after us."
As long as they could get out of Mistralia Country, he had plenty of ways to ensure Wilson would never have the free time to bother them again once they were back in Veridia.
"Take this damn needle out of my neck, and you have a deal," Wilson agreed. His neck was completely paralyzed and beginning to ache severely.
Julius shot Stella a look, and she nodded. "We'll take the very last car in the convoy."
"Fine."
Julius kept his gun trained on Wilson. "I'm going to need you and your men to get into your cars and drive away first. We'll leave right after. I highly suggest you keep your word, Mr. Wilson."
