Stella swallowed down her rising fury and grief, forcing herself to focus as she systematically photographed every single page of the document. Then, her eyes landed on a video file.
It was also encrypted.
Typing in the code one more time, the video player popped open.
As she watched the footage, she cursed the absolute scum of the earth who ran this place.
Once she had recorded the entire video on her phone, she exited the player and restored the laptop to its original state.
With all the evidence safely secured, Stella picked up the empty food containers and slipped out of Tiger's office.
She even made sure to pull the door shut with a soft click behind her.
Tiger remained completely oblivious to it all.
By the time he woke up, his little woman was long gone, and the compound's power had been fully restored.
He groggily noticed his laptop battery was completely dead. Assuming he had forgotten to shut it down during the power outage and let it drain out, he thought nothing of it.
He plugged in the charger.
As the screen flared back to life, a faint prickle of unease hit him. He hadn't shut it down before eating. Had the woman touched his computer?
He booted it up and checked the encrypted folders. Everything seemed completely untouched, easing his paranoia.
He had a major deal going down tonight and wouldn't be able to return to the villa. It suddenly hit him that he'd forgotten to tell her.
He pulled out his phone and dialed Celine, instructing her to pass on the message.
Hanging up, he paused, feeling completely absurd. He was the feared boss of the Rose Compound. Since when did he need to report his schedule to some woman?
Was he actually falling in love with her?
She had better never betray him.
If she did, he didn't even want to think about what he'd do to her.
