Stella raised an eyebrow. "Who is your boss? And why does he want to buy me dinner?"
"You will understand once you accompany me," the man replied, maintaining his overly polite, subservient posture.
"Not interested!"
If someone wanted to treat her to a meal, why the ridiculous secrecy? He wouldn't even give her a name.
Besides, it wasn't like she was starving and desperate for a free meal.
Did they think she was just someone anyone could summon for dinner?
"Miss, please do not make this difficult for me."
The man extended his arm, physically blocking her path.
If she didn't come with him, he wouldn't be able to face his boss.
"Excuse me, but you're the one making things difficult for me right now."
What was wrong with this guy? She refuses to go with him, and suddenly *she's* being unreasonable?
So him trying to force her to go wasn't unreasonable?
"Miss, my boss is sincerely extending an invitation for you to dine with him. Please, just come with me."
"No thanks. Move!" Stella's patience was rapidly wearing thin.
"I must insist you come with me!" the man pressed, his tone hardening.
"If you don't get out of my way right now, things are going to get ugly!" Stella's expression darkened.
The man remained firmly planted in front of her.
Rolling her eyes, Stella tried to step around him.
"Forgive me, Miss." The man stepped sideways, cutting her off once again.
Without missing a beat, Stella grabbed his outstretched hand. Using his own momentum against him, she shoved his arm forward and sharply twisted, smoothly dislocating his shoulder.
The man let out a sharp cry of pain. He hadn't expected this petite young woman to move so ruthlessly, popping his shoulder out of its socket in the blink of an eye.
But he was clearly trained. Gritting his teeth, he used his good arm to shove his shoulder back into place with a sickening pop.
Since the little lady was refusing to play nice, he had no choice but to use force.
He lunged forward, aiming to grab her by the collar.
"You're asking for it!" Stella snapped.
