“Tell the truth, Nellie. If you need me to jog your memory about what really happened, then I will.”
I jutted my chin out and unbuttoned the first few buttons of my shirt. I revealed my bra and, most importantly, my bandages-bandages from behind which black spiderwebs still spread out across my skin like a dark map of poison and pain.
Natasha gasped, rushing over and covering Tyler’s eyes as if he were a child watching an adult scene in a movie. He smacked her hand away in indignation, although he averted his gaze out of politeness.
Meanwhile, Samson’s face drained of all color, and he stared at me with wide eyes. But he wasn’t looking at my
breasts.
He was looking at the spot just above my right breast. At the small cluster of moles in the shape of the Little Dipper that had appeared there in my new body. It was so small and random that I thought little of it, but seeing it now, Samson seemed to be in shock.
“Where did you get those…?” he whispered, almost as if in disbelief.
But I didn’t answer him. I was focused on Nellie, on watching her face as realization washed over her.
A long moment passed, and no one spoke. No one moved.
I could see the uncertainty in Nellie’s eyes as she looked at my wound, her desire for a better life warring against her regret for everything that had happened. Whatever Natasha had promised her in exchange for a lie-it was probably something she only agreed to when she thought I was dead.
When she didn’t think that I could deny the claims Natasha wanted me to make.
Finally, Nellie’s shoulders sagged.
“Alright!” she exclaimed, turning toward Samson. “It’s not true! Elena wasn’t trying to seduce Alpha Kade; she was only trying to see her baby, and Serena tried to kill her over a secret!”
Nellie pointed at Natasha. “She told me to tell you that Elena tried to become Crescent Hollow’s Luna!”
The room went silent. Both Tyler and Samson turned toward Natasha in shock, who practically began to vibrate with fury.
“You little wretch-you dirty liar!” Natasha shrieked, storming over to Nellie. She began yanking at Nellie’s clothes, ripping the fabric. “I gave you all this, I promised to make you a Gamma and protect you, and you tell such lies about me?! Get out of my pack, you little bitch! GET OUT!”
Nellie trembled, gasping and terrified. I grabbed her shoulder, pushing her behind me and placing myself between her and Natasha. The fury in Natasha’s eyes was even more than I’d seen from her before.
like she was about to explode.

Tyler rushed over, grabbing his mother’s arms and yanking her away before she could do any serious harm. Meanwhile, Samson continued to stand there, completely in shock. I wasn’t sure if I had ever seen him so dumbfounded before.
“You saw an afraid, timid Omega and used her to sully my reputation,” I hissed, jabbing a finger at Natasha.”
