After doing some night revision, Louisa went back to the dormitory.

Jasper had sent over her belongings earlier. Yet the moment she stepped into her room, saw that a flower pot had been placed on top of her luggage bag. The soil inside had spilled out, staining her once-clean bag.

Louisa’s brows knitted together as she bent down to get the pot off.

“Hey, don’t simply touch my stuff. That’s my beloved succulent plant. Can you even afford to pay for it if you damage it?” A woman wearing a face mask walked over just then.

“This is my luggage bag,” Louisa said.

The woman, Felicia Chesson, scoffed and took the pot off even though damage had already

been done.

Louisa remained calm, waiting for the pot to be removed before she cleaned her bag.

Someone else walked into the room just then. “Feli, is this your new roommate?”

“Mhm,” Felicia replied nonchalantly.

“Is that…” the speaker looked at Louisa curiously She clasped her mouth in shock the moment she saw that it really was Louisa. “Louisa Lowe?”

The speaker was from Class Alpha and had seen Louisa before.

The moment Louisa’s name was mentioned, many of the other students came over to see what

was going on.

Louisa seemed not to hear them gossip and chatter among themselves. She only continued unpacking her things from her bag.

Felica’s classmates continued talking to one another.

“Feli, I heard Louisa Lowe is quite mean. You have to watch out, okay?”

Felicia scoffed as she gazed at Louisa with disdain. “Tsk. Who does she think she is? Does a little punk like her think she can boss me around”

“Yeah! Our Licia isn’t someone Louisa here can simply mess with. Oh, Feli, your bracelet is gorgeous. Did Asher buy it for you? It must’ve cost a lot!”

“Yes, he did. It’s not that expensive-just a couple thousand dollars.” Glee was apparent in Felicia’s eyes.

only grew as they looked at Felicia.

Felicia relished everyone’s awe and admiration. She then spoke in an even more gleeful tone.” Asher even went to another city to get this for me!”

“Asher’s so sweet to you!”

Louisa continued doing her own thing throughout the entire ordeal. After putting her clothes away, she went to bed to rest.

The dorm’s lights-out curfew was at 9:30 pm. Yet Felicia and her friends were still chattering incessantly after the hour. They didn’t seem interested in going to sleep whatsoever.

“Shut up!”

A cold voice rang out all of a sudden. The women jumped in fright, shutting up immediately.

Felicia’s brows furrowed as she retorted loudly, ‘Is this how you speak to my friends, Louisa

Lowe?”

“It’s bedtime right now. If none of you want to sleep, then so be it. But don’t disturb those who are actually trying to get some shut-eye. We still have class tomorrow,” Louisa replied coldly.

“Class?” Felicia couldn’t help but giggle. “Don’t all of you underachievers just sleep during class?”

“Don’t generalize us,” Louisa replied.

Felicia’s friends burst out laughing as well.

“Alright, we’d better go back. We don’t want to disturb Louisa’s good night’s sleep. She needs to be attentive in class tomorrow.”

Seeing everyone bid goodbye, Felicia did the same, and they all went to bed.

News of what happened spread throughout the entire campus the next day.

Louisa was surrounded at lunchtime.

“Are you finally going to start studying, Louisa?”

“You’re amazing, Louisa. Keep up the good work

Estelle sat a short distance away, surrounded by her friends.

“What a joke! How could Louisa say that without feeling embarrassed?”

“Haha! Who knows? Maybe Louisa might actually be serious about focusing on her studies

The corner of Estelle’s lip curled up slightly. She said delicately, “Stop it, guys. Louisa might just be turning a new leaf, that’s all.”

“The day Louisa turns over a new leaf is the day pigs fly!” Felicia said mockingly.

“What a load of rubbish.” An empty soda can was suddenly kicked toward Estelle’s table. She and her friends swiftly grew silent as they watched Louisa walk over.

Louisa scratched her ear, muttering, “Can’t even eat my lunch in peace.”

“What does us enjoying our own lunch have to do with you?”

“I’m just irritated to have a bunch of loudmouths talking trash about me!” Louisa bit back.

“Who are you calling loudmouths?” Felicia leaped to her feet in anger, but Estelle quickly held

her back.

Estelle then turned to Louisa and said gently, “Don’t get upset, Louisa. Felicia’s just concerned about you, that’s all. We’re all really happy that you’ve changed your mind about your studies.”

Felicia snorted. The next moment, an idea popped into her mind. She snickered and looked at Louisa before saying, “You’re turning over a new leaf, aren’t you, Louisa? Then, let’s compare grades when the results are out. If you get better grades than I do, then I’ll apologize to you!”

The bystanders watched on in excitement.

“You?” Louisa glanced at Felicia before saying slowly, “Sure. But let’s change things up a little bit. If any one of you can get better grades than me, then you win.”

Felicia could barely stop herself from cackling in glee. “Including Estelle?”

“Is she not sitting here with you right now?” Louisa asked.

“Alright, we have a deal! But if we win, then you have to clean all the toilets on campus!”

“Okay. But if I win, then you’ll have to clean the toilets!” Louisa said.

Felicia immediately agreed to the bet. She turned to the onlooking students and said, “You heard us! Now that you’ve all borne witness to this deal, you’ll have to stand up for us when our grades are out, okay?”

“Got it! Don’t worry!” The onlookers turned to Louisa with amused and expectant gazes.

Louisa was surely going to lose this bet.

The anticipation of watching Louisa make a fool of herself easily dispersed any pre-exam tension the students had. This bet became the topic of much of their daily coffee talk.

Meanwhile, Estelle paid much attention to Jasper’s whereabouts for the next few days. She’d

heard that he was coming back on Friday after going overseas for some business matters. Estelle decided to dress up well in order to go and welcome Jasper back.

When Estelle left the salon, she happened to bump into Stanley, who seemed to be in a hurry.

“Where are you going, Stanley?” Estelle asked.

Stanley had a gloomy expression on his face. “My sister was in a car accident. I need to go see

her.”

He then frantically went into the hospital nearby
