Reborn heiress on a scumbag hunt novel Chapter 19

Chapter 19

Jasper’s gaze suddenly shifted, as if a thought had appeared in his mind.

He then gently pulled Louisa into his arms. His fingers delicately ran through her hair as his warm breath sprayed against her ear. “I’m sorry, Lou. Can you please forgive me?”

Could you imagine a powerful, respectable man like Jasper humbling himself before you, tenderly and earnestly begging for your forgiveness?

Louisa softened up almost instantly.

“Alright, fine. Give me the sachet, then.”

Jasper’s lips pressed together lightly as pain flared in his gaze. Was Louisa still angry at him? Was she going to ignore him for the rest of his life?

“I didn’t bring it back home,” Jasper lied with a straight face.

“Really?” Louisa gazed at him.

He turned away, avoiding her bright and beautiful eyes. “I’ll hand it to you later tonight.”

“Alright.”

That would do just as well.

After lunch, Jasper went back to the office to work.

Louisa sat on the couch with one leg over her knee. As she thought about how Jasper had gone to the same hospital where Stanley had been, she knew without a doubt that it was Estelle who had orchestrated it.

A similar thing had happened in Louisa’s previous life as well. Estelle had lied to Louisa by claiming that Stanley had gotten into a car accident, so Louisa abandoned Jasper at their engagement ceremony and went to the hospital, only to find out that Stanley was perfectly

fine.

Later that night, Jasper shoved Louisa onto their bed and savagely claimed her the entire night. She then gave him the cold shoulder for several days, growing to hate him and no longer getting close to him.

Louisa was in the middle of thinking when her phone suddenly rang. It was a call from Estelle.

“Are you okay, Louisa?”

Louisa hadn’t said anything, yet Estelle was already asking her if she was okay? Louisa scoffed internally, but she didn’t let Estelle notice anything amiss.

“I’m fine,” Louisa said, her voice slightly weak.

“Why do you sound so tired, Louisa?” Estelle said.

“Last night…” Louisa began, then stopped as if it was too difficult to continue what she was

going to say.

Estelle’s curiosity was instantly piqued. “What happened last night?”

“I’m not sure why Jasper got so angry all of a sudden. I’m still so sore…” Louisa intentionally drawled on in an aggrieved tone.

Estelle immediately understood what had happened. Jealousy burned uncontrollably in her

heart.

“Did you two have sex?” Estelle asked right away, unable to stop the heightened pitch in her

voice.

“Mhm,” Louisa answered softly.

Estelle was furious. What right did Louisa have to sleep with Jasper? This bitch! How dare she ruin the man of Estelle’s dreams!

Estelle cussed Louisa out internally. She couldn’t let Louisa live in the Hayes residence

anymore.

“Jasper

is such a bastard, Louisa. How could he do that to you when you haven’t married each other yet? Is our virtue not important anymore” Estelle asked in a shocked and angry tone even as hatred burned in her chest.

Louisa really did think that Jasper didn’t care for her when Estelle told her this in her previous life. But the truth was, Estelle had lost her virginity way before she became of age!

Louisa concealed the icy chill in her eyes.

Noticing how silent Louisa was, Estelle hurriedly said, “Don’t worry, Louisa. Dad and I will head over to the Hayes residence later in the afternoon. We’ll bring you home right away!”

Louisa’s eyes darted around thoughtfully. But before she could speak, Estelle had ended the call. She must’ve eagerly gone to drive a wedge between Louisa and Timothy.

In Louisa’s previous life, Timothy did actually come to the Hayes residence. Louisa had wanted to leave with them, but Timothy had thought that she was being immature. After all, Louisa and Jasper were already engaged, so they were bound to have sex sooner or later.

Meanwhile, Louisa thought her father didn’t care for her at all and ran away from home in a fit of anger. She spent a couple of miserable days outside and was nearly the victim of several thugs before Jasper finally brought her back.

Enraged, Timothy forbade Louisa from ever setting foot back home. Louisa fell into despair, thinking she no longer had a family. Yet unbeknownst to her, Timothy’s anger had stemmed from nothing more than disappointment. Why else would Timothy have left Louisa the company’s shares?
