Louisa closed her eyes, holding her tears back. She wasn’t going to repeat her previous mistakes anymore.

After exiting the phone call interface, Louisa finally saw the several missed calls Jasper had left her earlier today. She blinked in confusion.

Had there been something Jasper wanted to tell her? That shouldn’t be the case, right? Otherwise, he would’ve told her earlier at noon.

Louisa then sent Jasper an emoji before taking a map. She didn’t notice that she had accidentally sent the wrong emoji. The one she sent seemed to express, “I’m angry, and I’m going to ignore you,” instead of “I’m going to take a nap now”.

Jasper’s fingers trembled the moment he received her text message in his office. He gripped his phone tightly, the veins popping out on the back of his hand.

Louisa woke up after her nap to check the time. When she saw that it was 3:00 pm, the couch and washed up.

Maryanne knocked on Louisa’s door at 5:00 pm sharp.

“Mrs. Hayes, your father and the rest of your family are here,” Maryanne said.

Estelle and Rosie shared a look. If Estelle could marry into the Hayes family, they needn’t worry about seeking a life of wealth and luxury anymore! Rosie also believed that Estelle was far more beautiful than Louisa was and that Jasper would never choose Louisa over Estelle. Footsteps rang out from upstairs just then. Louish walked downstairs in a pink mini dress, her beautiful features appearing soft and relaxed. For a moment, she looked like a goddess descending from the heavens.

Estelle clasped her fingers tightly. Shouldn’t Louisa be down in the dumps right now? Why was she all dressed up like this? What an idiot!

A caring look appeared on Estelle’s face. “How are you, Louisa? Are you alright?”

Timothy already knew what Louisa and Jasper had done and had naturally heard the cause of it

“Estelle did. Is it not true?” Timothy asked.
