Chapter 29
Estelle’s expression shifted slightly. She bit her lip and called Jasper once more but without the cloying tone she used before.
Seeing Estelle face a small setback so early in the morning put Louisa in a great mood. The corners of her red lips lifted as she greeted Jasper “Good morning.” The two of them then went to have breakfast together.
Estelle hurried to follow. While eating, she tried several times to strike up a conversation, but no one responded to her. The awkwardness made her face stiff.
After breakfast, Jasper headed out to the company.
Once he left, Estelle narrowed her eyes and fixed her gaze on Louisa. She let go of all pretenses and plopped down on the couch as if she owned the place. She nonchalantly grabbed a bottle of nail polish from the table and began painting her nails.
“Louisa, my classmates are coming over this afternoon,” Estelle said gently, her tone leaving
no room for negotiation. It sounded more like an announcement.
“Oh?”
“Could you put together some snacks and drinks for us?” Estelle smiled at Louisa, appearing
soft and refined.
Louisa took a sip of water. “Estelle, why didn’t you discuss this with me in advance?”
“What’s there to discuss?” Estelle said matter-of-factly.
“My classmates are your classmates too. They just want to come and see the place. I can’t just turn them down. I’m sure you don’t mind, right?
“Is your memory that bad?” Louisa asked calmly
“What do you
mean?”
“I already told you yesterday that Jasper doesn’t like outsiders coming here. Are you planning to go against him?”
Estelle straightened her back, full of confidence “Louisa, you’re the lady of the house. Does your word not count? I’ll be upset if the Hayes family doesn’t take you seriously!”
She sure knew how to make it seem like she cared about everyone else.
Louisa sneered deep down. “Estelle, I don’t like outsiders coming here either.”
With that, she turned and headed upstairs.

Chapter 29
Behind her, Estelle shouted, “They’re coming no matter what!”
Did Louisa think she could stop her? She’d better dream on. Once her friends showed up, she was certain that Louisa wouldn’t dare keep them out.
Thinking that, Estelle grew even more determined. She quickly messaged her friends, telling them to be at the Hayes residence that afternoon
Excited, they replied immediately. Soon, word spread that they were going to the Hayes
residence.
Upstairs, Louisa logged into her game in the bedroom. After playing for a while, she decided to take a break and took off her headset. That was when she heard the noise coming from outside.
She rubbed her forehead. Was Estelle causing trouble again?
Pushing back her chair, she stood up and walked out. In the hallway, Estelle was directing several people to move clothes.
Maryanne’s frown deepened as she watched. She stepped forward to stop them.
Still bitter about what happened yesterday, Estelle slapped Maryanne hard across the face.” Get lost! Who do you think you are? Louisa is the lady of the house here. There’s no way you get to boss me around!”
“Shut up!”
