Chapter 8
Mortified, Queenie breathed harder as she tried to pull the chalk out.
“Louisa! Have you lost your mind? What do you think you’re doing?” she furiously yelled.
“Now I get why you hate me so much. Was your plastic surgery botched?” Louisa asked lazily.
Queenie scoffed. “Mine’s all natural. You don’t have the right to judge me with your fake face!”
She smugly finished, only to notice the change in how people were looking at her. Her deskmate nearly toppled over in her chair from fright, pointing at her nose with a shaking
finger. “Queenie, y-your nose…”
Confused, Queenie pulled out a mirror. Instantly, her face was drained of all color. The implant had collapsed from her forceful breathing, and her nose now looked grotesque. Moments ago, she’d claimed to be all natural. But now, she was being exposed in real time.
Whispers rose around her. “Holy crap! Queenie, did you get surgery too?”
“Did you just notice? I could tell ages ago, but she kept pretending otherwise and thought we were blind.”
“This is so embarrassing!” someone commented and laughed.
Unable to bear the stares, Queenie burst into tears and ran out of class.
Linda frowned. “Queenie…”
“She’ll come back once her nose is fixed. Since everyone already knows who I am, there’s no need for further introductions,” Louisa calmly replied. With that, she walked forward to find a
seat.
Her opening move against Queenie was enough to put most of the class on edge. As a rumored soft pushover, she wasn’t soft at all. On the contrary, she had thorns!
Only three seats were left in the back.
One was beside a female student. When Louisa looked over, the female student warily placed
her books on the empty seat.
So, Louisa carried her bag and took the last seat before taking out her books. The entire class sucked in a breath after witnessing her act just moments ago, and anticipation flickered in their
eyes. Still, she paid them no mind.
She’d assumed she’d forgotten the material in her books after being away for so long, but as soon as she started reading, everything came rushing back. The hunger for knowledge prompted her to flip the pages faster.

Around her, no one was listening. Most of the students were just here to kill time anyway. They didn’t have to study since their parents were going to pave their future for them.
Louisa was so absorbed that she didn’t even notice when class ended. She was still reading when her desk was violently shoved over.
She paused before slowly looking up at the newcomers. Two heavily made-up female students
stood before her.
Suzy Clarkson crossed her arms and looked down at her mockingly. “It looks like you’re just a bookworm. How did you get the guts to mess with Queenie? I guess you don’t want to survive in this class anymore, do you?”
Louisa got up and looked at her overturned desk, along with her books and pencil case scattered across the floor. It was a complete mess
“I’m talking to you, bookworm. Did you not hear me?” Suzy snapped, sharply raising her
voice.
Students gathered around them, eager for a show. Right then, they heard Louisa’s cold voice. ” Pick them up.”
Suzy blinked, then finally processed what she had just heard. “What did you just say?”
Lydia Jones laughed. “She’s telling you to pick up the things.”
“Wow! That’s some temper, huh? You’re so scary Louisa. I’m scared,” Suzy jeered before stepping forward to crush the pencil case under her foot. Then, she grabbed Louisa by the hair.
“How dare you talk to me like that? You’re trying to get attention, aren’t you? Fine! Strip her clothes off. Let’s make sure she goes viral today!
Lydia eagerly moved forward, while the male students’
gazes turned heated.
Louisa had such good looks, so her body had to be just as amazing, right?
“Aren’t you even going to resist, bitch?” Lydia sheered, her voice dripping with malice. “You can’t wait for everyone to see your body, can you In that case, why don’t you tell us how many old men you usually sleep with?”
She had just reached out when a pale, slender hand snapped around her wrist and twisted. A scream tore through the class.
Lydia was shoved hard. She crashed to the floor, pain ripping through her back like it was about to split.
Suzy’s eyes flashed with a vicious glint. She grabbed Louisa by the hair to yank her out, only for her wrist to be suddenly locked. With a sharp crack, it was immediately left powerless.

Before she could even scream, a kick sent her flying. She slammed into a desk, the impact sending pain coursing through every inch of her body.
All Louisa did was wipe her hands. Her exquisite facial features showed little expression.
That was when a male student, Adrian Mann, frowned and spoke up. “How could you do this to your classmates, Louisa?”
“And you
are?” She raised an eyebrow at him.
“I’m the class’ secretary. Now, please apologize to them!”
His righteous tone almost made her laugh.
“Oh, and where were you when they were about to strip my clothes off?” she calmly asked.
“They were just joking, and it’s different from what you did!” he snapped in a matter-of-fact tone. “We’re all classmates here, so you should never have hit them in the first place. Apologize right now, or I’ll report you to the lecturer.”
A faint smile curved Louisa’s lips before she merely said, “Sure. Do as you like.”
