Amelia Johnson gave the woman in front of her a quick once–over, lips twitching into a polite smile. “Hi.”

Grace Williams stepped forward with a warm tone, “Amelia, this is your Aunt, and this here’s your cousin,

Rachel Williams.”

Amelia tried to recall–she’d vaguely heard something about Grace’s side of the family. A brother and a younger sister. That sister would be Jessica Williams–divorced now. And the brother, Jason Williams, he had a daughter… so that must be Rachel.

Jessica nudged Rachel gently, and only then did Rachel timidly walk up to greet Amelia, her eyes filled with envy and a tiny spark of jealousy.

To Amelia, that didn’t sound like a joke at all–it was more like a backhanded jab at her love life.

Amelia was just opening her mouth to politely decline–she already had a boyfriend, after all–but Grace cut in fast, “If you know someone decent, just let Amelia meet him.”

“Silly girl,” Grace chuckled, brushing it off, “A woman stays single till she’s married. There’s no harm in keeping your options open, right?”

Amelia almost rolled her eyes out loud. She’d seen through Grace’s intentions–this woman was clearly up to no good.

And knowing Damien Taylor… that guy had a jealous streak a mile wide. If he found out she was flirting around behind his back, she’d be toast.

Meanwhile, upstairs, Sabrina was busy badmouthing Amelia to Rachel.

“Don’t let that sweet smile fool you. You cross her once, and she’ll make sure you crash and burn publicly- trust me! And she’s super stingy too. Keeps all the good stuff for herself.”

“You’re the one who wouldn’t open it. What was I supposed to do? This how you treat guests?” Rachel snapped, giving the door another kick, though it stayed shut.

“What now? Why is there always some drama in this house?” Richard came out from the study, clearly annoyed. Grace and Jessica rushed up the stairs too.
