Chapter 145 His friend–2
“Mom, you guys go first. I just want to be alone for a bit,” said Sabrina Johnson before
turning away, surprisingly not pestering Ethan Collins this time.

Ethan raised an eyebrow at her sudden shift but felt more relieved than anything. He headed
off, planning to find Amelia Johnson.
Amelia had just changed out of her stage outfit and was pushing Brandon Taylor’s
wheelchair when she happily asked, “Brandon, how did I do just now?”
Brandon didn’t hold back, showering her with praise until she felt shy from all the
compliments.
“Was it really that good?”
“In my eyes, there’s no one better than you, Amelia,” Brandon replied warmly, like an elder who
genuinely cared for her.
“Thank you, Brandon. So, where are we meeting your friend?” Amelia asked.
He pointed toward the elevator. “Up on the 30th floor, at the sky restaurant. He’s already there
waiting.”
Once they arrived, Amelia quickly understood why this spot had been chosen–it was private but high–profile. Brandon’s friend turned out to be none other than Arthur Blake, the host of the piano competition. Meeting elsewhere might’ve caused traffic chaos or sparked bad
rumors if paparazzi caught them together.
After the quick introductions, Amelia took a seat and subtly sized up Arthur.
Brandon gave her a reassuring pat. “Don’t be nervous. Arthur’s really easygoing. If you ever
have piano questions, he’s the guy to ask.”
Although Arthur hadn’t made it to the live auditions, he’d watched the broadcast footage.
closely–and Amelia left a deep impression on him.
“You played beautifully, Miss Johnson. I’m guessing you’ve studied piano for quite a long
time?”
Outside the restaurant.
