Amelia quickly picked up. “Hey, Damien, did you just land?”

“Yeah, just did. It’s nighttime here.” He’d barely stepped off the plane before calling her.

They chatted for a while before Amelia asked casually, “I was talking to Emily just now. He

said he’s into Iron Man figures and stuff like that. He even said pretty much all guys are into

those. Is that true?”

Damien let out a soft chuckle. “Guess it depends on the person. Not all guys are the same.”

Amelia pressed her hand to her forehead, grumbling in her head, Can’t you just give me a

straight yes or no?

“Well… I just wanted to know if you’re into that kind of stuff.”

He gave a low laugh. “Honestly, doesn’t really matter what it is. If it’s from you, I’ll love it.”

At that, Amelia instantly realized–Damien had been messing with her the whole time.

“I was gonna surprise you, you know,” she pouted. “Now you better not complain about it

later.”

After hanging up, she started pacing the room. Then, suddenly, an idea popped into her head

like a flash of light.

She grabbed her phone and ordered a set of professional–grade paints.

She was going to paint the scene of them watching the sunset together.

To her, that memory really stuck.
