Reborn Second Chance With The Scheming Tycoon novel Chapter 256

When Vivian Greene found out that Amelia Johnson’s boyfriend had the same fear of closed

spaces as she did, she was genuinely surprised.

Right after, she couldn’t help but press Amelia for more details.

Vivian asked, “So, what caused your boyfriend’s claustrophobia?”

That question caught Amelia off guard–she honestly didn’t know. She’d never really asked about

  1. it.

And now Damien Taylor was asleep, so even if she wanted to ask, she couldn’t.

Vivian said, “Honestly, it’s better to figure out the root cause if you want to really help. I don’t have any great ideas myself right now.”

Amelia replied, “I’ll talk to him properly tomorrow. You should get some rest.”

“Same to you. Good night,” Vivian said.

After the call, Vivian couldn’t sleep. Knowing Amelia’s boyfriend had the same condition as her

stirred up a lot of emotions.

Most people didn’t get how awful it felt when a panic attack came on–the suffocating feeling was downright unbearable.

The more she thought about it, the more determined she felt to do some research.

After a short holiday, the two headed back to Heliovard.

Once she and Damien split up, Amelia went to see a well–known therapist.

She explained in detail how Damien reacted during each episode. “But lately, I’ve noticed his symptoms have slightly improved. It’s small, but noticeable. Why would that be?”

“Are you with him each time he has an episode?” the therapist asked.

Amelia wasn’t sure about every single time, but it was close, so she nodded.

The therapist gave a small nod too, piecing things together. “Most psychological issue stem from deeper trauma, often dating back to childhood. The key isn’t avoiding it–it

face the fear head–on.”

Face it head–on? So basically, Damien was going to have to slowly get used to being in the

ou seem distracted,” Damien said, walking in from work.

He’d noticed Amelia looking at him, quiet and thoughtful, and whenever he glanced her way, she’d

quickly look elsewhere.

Something was definitely on her mind.

Amelia hesitated a bit, then finally told him what she’d learned.

“Damien, don’t be scared. I’ll be right there with you, the whole time.”

Seeing the sincerity in her eyes, Damien didn’t even think twice. He nodded. “If you’re by my side,

then I won’t be afraid of anything.”

Right then and there, Amelia took his hand and dragged him off to the bedroom.

Just as Emily Carter walked in through the door and caught sight of them rushing off together, she

couldn’t help but smirk.

Yep, couples in love really did act like they were glued together.

Inside the room, Amelia shut all the curtains and told Damien to lie down on the bed. She looked at him seriously and asked, “Mr. Taylor, are you ready? I’m about to turn off the lights.”

Even though he’d been through this before, Damien still tensed up just thinking about it. His jaw clenched, and after a deep breath, he nodded. “I’m ready.”

Amelia counted down, “Three, two, one!”

Click. The room fell into darkness.

In the blink of an eye, Amelia dove onto the bed and wrapped her arms around him.

At first, Damien couldn’t stop shaking. With Amelia Johnson by his side, Damien Taylor slowly managed to last an hour, then two…

When Amelia noticed that Damien’s shaking was getting noticeably less intense, excitement surged in her chest. This approach from the therapist–simple, but really working!

Three hours in, Amelia quickly flipped on the light.

Damien was soaked in sweat, his eyes shut in exhaustion, yet his hand still clung tightly to hers.

“Mr. Taylor, you did amazing!” Amelia reached out, gently wiping the sweat from his forehead. “Next time, let’s hang in there a bit longer. Little by little, you’re gonna beat this thing.”

And for the first time in a while, he felt hope.

Maybe it was the relief talking, but she usually couldn’t say something this affectionate so easily. This time, it just slipped out.

After the whole party incident, Jack Mitchell had definitely tightened the reins on Zoey. She was

“How can you treat me like this, Jack?! Did Amelia say something to you? Not just you–Mom and Dad too! You’ve all fallen under her spell!”
