Reborn Second Chance With The Scheming Tycoon novel Chapter 257

Chapter 213-1

The Taylor residence.

Evelyn Taylor was lounging on the couch, casually watching TV, when she picked up a strange phone call.

“Wait, what did you just say? I didn’t quite catch that–you’re saying your daughter and my son are in love and want to meet up to talk about marriage?”

“I have more than one son, which one are you talking about?”

“The second one.”

At first, Evelyn was ready to hang up, thinking it was some prank call, but the person on the other end sounded totally serious and sincere. That got her thinking–could this be Amelia Johnson’s adoptive parents calling?

Without another thought, she quickly set up a meeting.

As soon as she ended the call, she was beaming. Meeting the in–laws was no small matter. This time, she had to make sure everything about the wedding got settled.

“Mom, why are you all dressed up? You going out with Dad or something?” Liam Taylor teased her with a grin.

Evelyn didn’t even look up while organizing the gifts with the housekeeper. “Don’t worry about me- just focus on treating Amelia right. Bring her home for dinner when you can, and whatever you do, don’t mess things up, got it?”

When Liam didn’t respond and just dashed upstairs, Evelyn yelled after him, “Liam Taylor, did you hear what I said?”

“Honestly, he doesn’t even know how lucky he is.”

“Looks like I’m the only one who can handle this!”

Evelyn was already calculating her next move–but right now, top priority was helping Damien get Amelia officially home.

Meanwhile, Damien was watching a movie with Amelia when he glanced at his phone and saw his mom’s message. He stared at it, totally confused. What was she even talking about?

“Damien, I’m hungry,” Amelia said lazily.

“Alright, I’ll make you something.”
