Chapter 213-2
heard you’ve just been staying home all day, not working or anything?”
After they all sat down, Jason immediately started picking at her again. “You finally made it to the
big city, and you’re still living like you’re back in that little village? You should get out there, see the
world.”
And then he cut straight to the chase. “Why don’t you come work at my company? As a secretary.
He even tried to hype it up. “It’s not just a regular job–it’s a hot ticket.”
Richard Johnson chimed in, sounding like he was agreeing. “Not a bad idea. You don’t need the

She’s not as easy to deal with as he thought.
Over the next few days, Grace and Jessica threw themselves into planning the engagement party, while Jason took Rachel out sightseeing.
The vibe seemed peaceful enough on the surface.
But Amelia knew better. As long as they were still around, something was definitely brewing.
On the day of the engagement party, the event was held at a swanky five–star hotel, with lots of
guests from both the Collins and Johnson families.
Though, let’s be real–half the people showed up just because of Damien Taylor.
Before things officially kicked off, Sabrina practically skipped out, all dolled up and glowing,
instantly attracting compliments left and right. You could tell by the way she was floating that she
“Mom, where’s Ethan? Why isn’t he out yet?”

Rachel glanced around the room, frowning. “Hey, where’s Amelia? Don’t tell me she’s not coming?”
