Chapter 50 Fettpally
Chapter 50 Telepathy
Claim
“Dad, Damien just catted. I’ll tell you later, okay?” Amelia Johnson quickly raised the phone to her ear. Hello? Oh, no need, really, I’m doing fine now. That’d be too much trouble… Seriously, it’s okay. Yeah, take care. Bye.”
“What did Damien say?” Richard Johnson asked, clearly a bit antsy.
“He said he wanted to come tomorrow to help me with the medicine,” Amelia blinked as she explained.” But my ankle’s almost fine, so I told him there’s no need.”
“What?!” Richard’s eyes widened at her. “You call him back right now and tell him to come tomorrow!”
His reaction was so over the top that Amelia couldn’t help but chuckle. “Isn’t that a bit much? He’s busy, I don’t want to bother him.”
“This is a golden chance and you’re just brushing it off?” Richard’s tone turned firm. “No excuses. Call him.
Now.”
“… Alright, I’ll call him back.”
As Amelia went upstairs, Grace Williams looked at Richard, clearly uneasy. “Honey, with how Amelia’s acting, she’s bound to tick off Damien one day. What if she messes things up for the whole family?”
“She’s been more mature lately,” Richard said, although concern still lingered in his eyes. “You should try coaching her more-turn her into a proper lady. If things work out with Damien, it could change everything for us.”
Grace nodded slightly, then leaned in a little. “Actually… I have an idea.”
“Oh? What kind of idea?” Richard asked.
“Well, even if Amelia’s changed somewhat, her personality is still unpredictable. I think it might be time to let Sabrina have a shot at Damien. She’s sweet and sensible. I’m sure she’d win him over.”
