That night, Damien Taylor blindfolded Amelia Johnson and led her to the rooftop.

As soon as Amelia opened her eyes, she was stunned by the amazing city lights. “Wow, this is gorgeous.”

Damien gently wrapped his arm around her waist, his voice low and smooth, “Hungry?”

“Um… what kind of hungry are we talking about?” Amelia asked, not sure why she even said that. Please don’t let him take it the wrong way…

Damien leaned closer and whispered near her ear, “Besides being hungry for food, what else could I be hungry for, hmm?”

His breath brushing against her skin made her shiver. Her face instantly turned red, all the way to her ears.

He gave her a soft kiss on the corner of her lips, then pulled out a chair for her to sit down.

Looking at the romantic setup and the spread on the table, Amelia blinked. “A candlelight dinner?”

“Do you like it?” Damien looked gently at her.

Amelia nodded. “My first time having something like this.” It was a bit ironic, really. Pretending to be Ethan Collins’ fiancée for five years, and not once did she get a thoughtfully planned dinner.

Damien took her hand and kissed it lightly. “I’ll give you lots of firsts from now on.”

Lots of firsts… Amelia felt her mind drifting toward dangerous territory lately.

Halfway through dinner, Amelia looked at Damien and asked, “Did you recognize me right away?”

“No, it wasn’t until Jack mentioned it yesterday that I figured it out,” Damien replied. “I told him before that I used to have a pen pal. He thought we already knew each other from Moon Mansion.”

Even though he had everything carefully planned, now wasn’t the time to tell her the full truth.

Amelia gave a small smile. “Then you’re not completely traumatized by the shrimp thing, huh? You didn’t even punch me when I dumped it on your lap.”

Suddenly, Damien leaned in and kissed her before she could say more. “I’m feeling a bit hungry again.”

Amelia: “…”

He looked at her calmly. “There was a bit of rice on the corner of your mouth.”
