Reborn to Marry My Best Friend's Uncle novel Chapter 155

Christian spoke in a normal tone, without a hint of guilt. "I heard from a relative a few days ago that her family signed her up for some class. Ann, Suzanna is a grown woman. She can take care of herself."

Annie wondered if that was really the case. Suzanna was 25, yet her family still signed her up for classes? Although it sounded ridiculous, it wasn't impossible.

Annie didn't think much more of it and tentatively believed this explanation. She put her phone away, deciding to contact Suzanna later to ask about the situation.

Little did she know that Suzanna, who had been sent for classes, was in a fully enclosed etiquette training center. She was staring at the ceiling and silently cursing Christian over and over again.

Ten minutes later, the car came to a steady stop in front of EVL Tower.

Annie unbuckled her seatbelt and said, "See you tonight."

Christian watched her get out of the car. Only when that slender figure disappeared into the building entrance did the gentle smile on his face slowly fade. He restarted the car and drove toward Parker Group's headquarters.

The black Bentley was parked in the exclusive spot at the building.

On the top floor, in the CEO's office area, Michael had been waiting by the elevator since early morning. The moment the doors opened, and Christian stepped out, the weight pressing on his chest all day finally lifted.

Although Christian's expression was still stern, it was much better than the icy look from the morning. It seemed that he had successfully coaxed Annie to return.

Michael quickly walked up and respectfully took the suit jacket Christian had taken off. "Mr. Parker," he said.

Christian loosened his tie as he strode toward the office. "Go arrange the wedding."

Michael stumbled behind him, almost tripping over his own feet. He froze in place, thinking that he had misheard.

He wondered about the wedding arrangements. Weren't Christian and Annie already married? Could they be planning a wedding reception?

Christian had already walked into the office. He looked back, and when he saw Michael still standing at the door, he arched a brow. He asked, "What is it?"

Michael shivered, snapped back to reality, and quickly followed Christian in. He cautiously asked, "Mr. Parker, are you saying you want to host a wedding party for Mrs. Parker?"

"Yes." Christian sat down behind the huge desk, his expression calm. "Everything must be the best. There's no need to invite too many guests. Just family."
