"Easton, I heard that… Sean went missing abroad," Helena warily said, and her eyes reddened slightly.
She continued, "As his mom, I couldn't sleep at all last night. Can't you do something? Perhaps you could send your men to search for him. He's still your brother, no matter what he did."
Easton set his digital tablet aside, picked up the cup of coffee, and took a slow sip. "He's not a child anymore."
The implication was clear—whether Sean was dead or alive, that was his own responsibility.
What Sean had suffered abroad was just the consequence of his actions. If he had learned to behave, Easton wouldn't have minded letting him continue living a life of idle luxury, but unfortunately, Sean never knew his place.
"But—"
Helena tried to continue, but a cold glance from Easton stopped her. He firmly said, "He brought this on himself. Don't concern yourself with it."
Seeing his cold, unreadable expression, Helena's last trace of hesitation vanished.
This was typical of Easton. To him, Sean had never been a younger brother—just a nuisance to be cast aside without a second thought.
Helena forced an even more sorrowful expression onto her face. "I know that Sean's made a lot of mistakes, but as his mom, I just can't stop worrying.
"I heard you'll be traveling abroad on a business trip in a few days, so could you… take me with you? I want to search for him myself. Even the smallest clue would be enough."
As she spoke, she took an exquisite thermal flask from her bag. She continued, "I made this soup for you myself. You've been so busy with work, so you should take care of your health."
When she opened the lid, the rich aroma of the chicken soup immediately filled the living room.
"I added some calming herbs. You've been under so much pressure with the company lately—drink this. It'll help you sleep better at night."
