Annie lowered her eyes. "Frost Group just announced that Sean is taking over as CEO. And the heir, Easton, just happens to have an 'accident' right now.

"Suzie, it's not subtle. Do you think I don't know what this is?"

Annie barely remembered Easton. In her past life, she'd been married for two years and had only seen him a handful of times at Frost family dinners.

"You forgot? You came to my place that day, and you saw him there. Well..."

"Ow! Please! Let go!" William winced and begged for mercy. "I don't live in the hospital! It takes time to get here from home!"

Suzanna finally released him. Her expression stayed blank, but her tone left no room for argument. "Stop talking. Go in and take a look at him."

William rubbed at his reddened ear and muttered under his breath, "The person who's actually hurt isn't even the one panicking."

Suzanna shot him a look, and he immediately shut up. She wasn't in the mood for his smart mouth.
