Chapter 114
Holly stared at Sierra.
“What?!” She immediately shot to her feet. “Who did you just say?”
“I never once heard Pamela mention her dad all through college,” Sierra said truthfully.
If it wasn’t because this was something important, Jason wouldn’t have emphasized to them that they already knew each other.
“If a father was listed on a form, she always left that space blank.”
With Pamela’s temperament, she had no problem complaining that her mom was cruel and mean. There was no reason for her to remain completely silent about her father.
Unless she didn’t know him, or she didn’t dare to say anything about him.
“She’d better not be,” Holly gritted her teeth. “If it really is her, I’ll toss her out and beat her up!”
Sierra hoped it wasn’t true either, but there were too many coincidences. Most importantly, Pamela’s last name was Sanders,
too.
“I have to go home,” Holly said. She couldn’t settle until she knew for sure. “I’ll come back after I figure it out. If it really is Pamela, I’ll deal with her for you!”
Sierra was worried about her. “Do you want me to go with you?”
“No. If you come with me, you’ll get in the way of me going crazy later,” Holly said in complete seriousness.
Sierra pulled Holly into a hug.
If Pamela really turned out to be Jason’s daughter, there was going to be quite the chaos within the Sanders family in the future.
In the past, Pamela had never stirred up that much trouble and just lived her own life. Now, she had John behind her, and her mother had suddenly chosen this moment to tell Holly’s father.
It was probably because that woman knew Pamela’s backer was John.
That thought pressed down on Sierra’s heart.
The next day, the answer arrived.
Sierra had just finished a sketch when Holly sent her a message.
[Daaaaaaamn!!! It really is that wench Pamela!]
As if a message was not enough, Holly called before Sierra could reply.
Before Sierra could speak, Holly’s furious voice came through the phone. “I’m so pissed right now! She actually wants to be written into our family registration!”
“What did your dad say?” Sierra’s heart grew heavier.
Holly glanced down at her father, who was still downstairs talking with John, and felt even more annoyed. “They’re still talking.
“I’m coming over,” Sierra said. She was worried.
Whenever someone felt upset, they need a friend to accompany them. That was something Holly herself had said once.

“Don’t!” Holly refused at once, without hesitation. If Sierra saw that John had come along with Pamela, it would only make her feel worse. “I’m fine. The real problem is my dad.”
Sierra was puzzled at first, then thought it through.
She didn’t know Jason deep enough, but from Holly’s stories, she had learned enough about him. He wasn’t the type to spend this much time just because of one illegitimate daughter, and he wouldn’t bring up the family register at all.
Unless something else was in play…
“Is John the one who came with Pamela to your house?” Sierra shared her guess with Holly.
Holly peeked downstairs. “How did you know?”
Sierra’s heart sank another inch.
Pamela was never the type to be satisfied with the bare minimum. If she wanted to acknowledge her father, it probably wasn’t just for the sake of family. She likely wanted shares or assets as well.
Holly’s father would never give those to her, but with John sitting there, it was hard to say whether he would be pressured into agreeing.
“He might try to make some excessive demands on your dad,” Sierra said.
She didn’t want Holly’s assets affected because of Pamela.
“Let him. I don’t care,” Holly said.
Now that she had the truth, she sounded almost calm.
“Alright, I’m hanging up. I’m going downstairs to have a proper talk with my dear half–sister.”
She almost spat out those last few words.
