Chapter 143
Sierra extended her hand to push John away, but he was too practiced at this kind of teasing. In no time at all, she felt weak all over.
His hand slid down to her waist, and the warmth of her smooth skin made him not want to let go. He could also clearly feel she had gotten much thinner.
“Haven’t you been eating properly lately?” John stopped what he was doing and let her go, his deep gaze settling on her.
Sierra seized the opening and shoved him away hard. Her cheeks were flushed. Nobody knew if it was from anger or something else. “What does that have to do with you?”
Her rosy lips glistened with moisture, looking damp and soft. The shine on her lower lip caught the light every time she moved her mouth, making it impossible not to stare.
“What are you trying to do?”
When she saw him coming closer, Sierra backed up on instinct. She only took a couple of steps before bumping
into the wall behind her.
John put his hand down beside her and leaned in, his tall figure lowering. He opened his mouth, and his low voice brushed over her ears. “Don’t look at me like you’re the only one who’s suffering.“.
Sierra glared at him.
Was she not?
“Can you really say you didn’t enjoy any of that just now?” John leaned in a little closer, that nice, familiar scent wrapping around her again.
Sierra forced out a lie. “No!”
She knew John too well. He knew every sensitive spot on her body. When she broke emotionally earlier, her defenses had shattered. For a brief moment, his kindness and indulgence completely consumed her.
She knew it was wrong.
But when she was broken, she couldn’t even hold on to basic reasoning skills.
“Really?” John’s voice held a note of invitation as his other hand settled on her waist. “Then do you have the bravery to let me check?”
Sierra didn’t expect him to be this shameless.
“Feeling guilty?” John asked.
Sierra raised her hand to hit him.
John caught her wrist easily and said relaxedly, “Are you reacting this way because you’re embarrassed?”
Sierra snapped at him. “You have no shame!”
“You just said I’m shameless and have no pride,” Jolm said, not looking the least bit angry.
The words that almost came out of Sierra’s mouth stopped. After a long while, she shook the arm he was holding and muttered, “Let go.”

John didn’t let go. His grip was light, but just strong enough to pin her in place.
Sierra tried several times and still couldn’t break free. She stared at him and forced out each word. “Do you know this is what we call harassment?!” o
“Kissing my own wife counts as flirting at most,” John said.
A faint mocking smile appeared on Sierra’s delicate face. “Since when am I your wife? Aren’t I the other homewrecker?”
John blinked.
