Sierra was stunned for a moment as he listened to Solomon picking Zane and Wendy apart. Was he really here to stand up for her?
“Do you all understand?” Solomon looked around the table.
“Yes, sir!” Zane and Wendy answered together.
Liam and Adam, still shaken, also said, “Yes, we understand.”
“I told you last time that if anything happened, you could come to me.” Solomon’s gentle voice sounded next to Sierra’s ear. The pressure he was exuding a moment ago disappeared. “Why are you still taking everything on- alone?”
“I didn’t run into anything serious, so I didn’t want to bother you,” Sierra said.
It was obvious she was just being polite.
Solomon pressed his lips and swallowed what he was about to say, then he changed it. “We’ll have time to talk after the party.”
Sierra blinked, confused.
Were they ever that close?
She thought about it, but she didn’t dare say it out loud with so many people at the table.
Other than the heirs and heiresses, the major shareholders and senior executives of Origin Games were all here. She felt this meal to be similar to the one she had with John.
“Mr. Henderson, we’d like to offer you a toast.” Mr. Smith stood up. Remembering their previous dinner with John, he made sure his attitude was respectful. “Having you at our tenth anniversary party is an honor for Origin Games.”
“You can skip the drinks.” Solomon had stopped exuding his aura, and the coolness in his manner was gone. “We don’t drink.”
Everyone understood that “we” meant him and Sierra.
With that, the meal turned into a simple dinner. Even when Solomon said they could drink if they wanted, no one picked up a wineglass. They all quietly focused on their food.
Even Adam and Liam, usually the most arrogant of the group, were acting meekly as they kept their heads down.
Sierra couldn’t help but think that in this circle, someone with real power commanded so much influence.
Then, a chime sounded.
Solomon’s phone lit up. He picked it up, unlocked it, and a text popped up.
[Boss, we managed to stop John.]
He gave it a quick look, locked the screen, and acted as if nothing had happened.
Sierra caught the movement from the corner of her eye but didn’t see the contents of the text.

Meanwhile, at John’s side.
From the moment several cars started deliberately cutting him off, he already knew Solomon was the one who arranged them. Even though his driver tried his best to avoid them, they still ended in a crash due to the cars deliberately crashing into them.
“Sir,” the driver said as he looked at the car that had hit them, then checked the rearview mirror.
John opened the door and got out. “Call the police. When they get here, tell them exactly what happened.”
“What about you, sir?” Before the driver could finish, a very expensive–looking motorcycle pulled up in front of them and stopped.
The rider took off one helmet and tossed it to John. “Boss, get on.”
The driver froze.
Robin!
Solomon’s men stared in disbelief.
They could do that?!
John caught the helmet and looked at Robin.
