Chapter 195
Solomon’s secretary was currently watching Kenneth.
When Kenneth saw the name “J2” flashing on the screen, he moved to grab the phone. However, two bodyguards stepped in his way.
Joven, Solomon’s secretary, watched him with a professional smile. “Mr. Gomez, our boss gave clear instructions. Without his permission, you’re not allowed to touch your phone.”
“The one calling is John,” Kenneth reminded him.
“I know,” Joven said, his suit neat and his posture sharp.
Kenneth then said, “You know what happens if you cross him. You should have a full picture.”
“This is our boss’s order. We’re only following it,” Joven answered. As someone who worked at Solomon’s side, he didn’t bend to something as easily as this.
“Then keep following orders,” Kenneth said.
He no longer tried to reach for the phone. Instead, he leaned back on the sofa, as relaxed as he could be.
“Either way, if John really loses his temper, no one will be able to hold him back.”
Joven fell silent. He knew that was true.
“How about we both take a step back?” Kenneth said when he sensed the man waver a little. “I won’t touch the phone. You answer it for me and put it on speaker. That doesn’t go against Mr. Solomon’s instructions.”
Joven thought for a moment, then picked up the call.
John’s voice came through immediately. “Where are you right now?”
“The meeting room on the second floor,” Kenneth said, his eyes scanning around the room.
He quickly explained his situation.
“I have no idea what Sierra’s status is. As soon as I went downstairs, Solomon’s secretary and two bodyguards dragged me in here. They took my phone. They’re the ones who answered and put you on speaker.”
John’s eyes grew even darker.
Solomon had even gotten Kenneth under control. What exactly was he planning?
“I’m still some distance away. Can you fight your way out?” John asked, his tone a shade lower.
Kenneth immediately realized what he was asking. “If there’s an opening, it shouldn’t be a problem.”
“Sir!” Joven spoke up suddenly,
Kenneth raised his head.
John was still speeding along on the motorcycle and didn’t answer.
“Our boss has taken control of the hotel. Our people are also watching Mr. Gomez’s bodyguards,” Joven said. He rightly guessed the two were trading hints and decided to lay things out. “There’s no need for you to make any more plans.”

Kenneth’s eyes darkened. He had even taken that into account.
Could it be that Solomon planned to use Sierra to threaten John and force him to hand over control of Henderson Group this time?
But… That kind of brutal move was possible many times before in the past. There was no reason to wait until today. With how sophisticated Solomon was, he wouldn’t choose something so crude.
John hung up without hesitation, and the motorcycle got even faster.
“Since I can’t get out of here anyway, why don’t you tell me what your boss is up to?” Kenneth said in the most casual tone he could manage. “What does he want?”
“Would your own secretary casually reveal your plans?” Joven asked in return.
“If the price was high enough, it wouldn’t be impossible,” Kenneth said with a straight face.
Joven was stunned for a moment.
“One million dollars,” Kenneth said. “Sell me one piece of inside information.”
“Losing my job for one million dollars isn’t worth it,” Joven replied.
“Then you name a price,” Kenneth said.
“Your shares in Gomez Group,” Joven said.
