Chapter 196
The atmosphere in the private room was very calm.
Aside from the awkwardness at the beginning, everyone was now quietly focused on their food.
Even Morgan and the other board members from Origin Games had never seen a situation like this. But with Solomon eating slowly and calmly, none of them was bold enough to say a word.
“Can you give me fifteen minutes after the celebration?” Solomon asked Sierra.
Sierra didn’t answer immediately. “Why?”
“I want to talk to you about something,” Solomon said. He didn’t avoid the others, but he kept his voice low. “It won’t take much of your time.”
With so many people sitting there, and how he was being so direct with his request, Sierra had no option but to agree. “Alright.”
Solomon made a quiet sound of acknowledgment.
Twenty minutes later, Sierra was full. She looked up at Morgan and the board members, who were still eating in silence, and hesitated to put her fork down. It felt a little inappropriate to be the first one to stop at a time like this.
“Are you full?” Solomon noticed the movement, his tone gentle as if he were a boy from next door.
Sierra nodded. “Yeah.”
Solomon put down his fork, too.
Sierra blinked.
She was about to say something, but Solomon stood up and spoke politely to the table. “Please, take your time. I have something to discuss with Sierra privately, so we won’t disturb you any further.”
Everyone paused, put down their forks and knives, eyes turning to him.
Morgan got up as well and said, “I’ll walk you out.”
“It’s fine,” Solomon declined.
He glanced at Sierra, then led her out of the private room.
Only when the two disappeared at the doorway did everyone inside finally let out a sigh of relief.
Liam and the others slumped into their chairs, caring little about their image.
Zane felt a rush of relief that he hadn’t pushed Sierra too far. “This is ridiculous… Didn’t they say Solomon and John don’t get along? So why is the older sibling so protective of Sierra? They sounded so close, too.”
“Who knows,” Wendy said, agreeing. “Maybe in private, the two brothers actually get along?”
Liam and Adam exchanged a look. Both felt like they had just narrowly escaped tragedy. They were grateful they had basically made the trip for nothing today.
Otherwise, they didn’t even want to imagine how bad things would have ended.
Outside the private room, Solomon walked next to Sierra, matching her pace. He noticed how little interest she seemed to have in all this. “Not really used to having dinner with me?”

“A bit,” Sierra answered without hiding it.
“Because I seem scary to you?” Solomon asked, making a casual joke.
