“I really can’t stand how fake he is,” Kenneth said to John, feeling a chill down his spine after getting that look from Solomon.” He’s thinking about getting rid of you every single day, but every time he talks to you, he plays the role of the doting big brother.

“The lucky draw segment has ended. The prizes will be distributed to each department tomorrow.” The host’s voice rang out, announcing the end of this part of the party and the start of another. “Next, Mr. Snyder will announce the rankings for tonight’s performances.”

Just as Kenneth had said, Sierra’s performance took second place.

The prize money was five thousand dollars.

As the main performer, Sierra went up to receive the award.

Morgan handed her the trophy. His attitude toward her clearly held more endearment than the one who won first place. He even added a polite line.

“That’s a very good performance. I hope you take first place next time.”

“Thank you, sir.” Sierra shook his hand in thanks. Her face lit up with a big smile.

“Work hard,” Morgan encouraged her. “Believe that Origin Games will only get better.”

Sierra nodded. “It will.”

After their brief exchange, Sierra stepped to the side, walking toward the other end of the stage.

Once Morgan finished handing out the rest of the awards, there would be a group photo. The host had whispered that reminder to them before they went onstage.

At that moment, a steady yet anxious voice suddenly rang out from somewhere below.

“Watch out!”

Sierra froze.

Morgan did, too.

Everyone on stage was left stunned in confusion.

Before anyone could react, Solomon suddenly rushed in front of Sierra and shoved her away. The crystal chandelier overhead crashed down and slammed into him.

Sounds of crashing and shattered glass sprayed across the stage.

Aaaaah!

People screamed on stage and jumped back several steps.

Sierra staggered after she was pushed aside. When she finally steadied herself and looked over, she saw Solomon half–kneeling on the ground, blood dripping from his head.
