When Sierra married John, he had a custom ring made for her at great expense. He spent millions to win the one–of–a–kind pink diamond for her during an auction. Her friends and family were all happy for her at the time, and even Holly was envious.

People were still talking about what happened to that diamond.

Sierra glanced down at her left ring finger, seeing the wedding ring she had never paid much attention to before. After thinking it over, she finally decided to sell it.

Word got back to John almost immediately. As he touched the wedding ring on his own finger, his eyes turned dark.

“She has guts. She even dares to sell the wedding ring.”

Sierra had been spoiled for too long. That was why she was willing to take such bold steps.

“Tell everyone in our circle that whoever dares to buy her things is making an enemy out of me,” John said, his soft voice like the calm before the storm.

His assistant Robin responded at once. “Yes, sir.”

In no time, the entire upper echelon of Jade City knew about it. When spreading the news, they made sure to leave Holly out of it.

Sierra soon noticed something strange. At first, people still asked about the ring, but soon, no one would discuss it at all. Eager to sell, she tried going to various jewelers in person. But every single store turned her away after seeing what she wanted to sell.

“This is too expensive for us. We can’t take it.”

“We only handle high–end pieces, but a one–of–a–kind diamond like this is out of our league.”

“Try somewhere else.”

The excuses were all the same.

Left with no choice, Sierra decided to ask Holly for help, wondering if she knew any trustworthy private buyers for diamonds.

“What do you need that for?” Holly was surprised. Thinking back on recent events, she made a bold guess. “You’re trying to sell something?”

Sierra nodded. “Yeah.”

“I thought you loved jewelry,” Holly said, knowing her tastes.

“I don’t want to wear anything he gave me,” Sierra replied casually. “Might as well recycle it and put it to use.”

Holly didn’t say anything else. If she had been through what Sierra had, she would want to get rid of everything the man gave her too. All of it.

“Most luxury resale shops should take it,” Holly offered, not realizing: just what Sierra wanted to sell. “Show me the piece, and I’ll help you check.”

After a moment, Sierra took the ring out of her purse and handed it to her.

Holly took it, and once she opened the box containing the ring. After giving it a good look, she blinked at Sierra. “You want to sell this?!”

Sierra nodded.

“I remember John spent over nine million on this diamond,” Holly said as she remembered it well. “With the custom work, it’s worth more than ten million dollars.”

“Yeah,” Sierra replied. She remembered it too. That was exactly why she couldn’t accept that he could claim to love her and love someone else at the same time. If he gave that kind of love to others, she would rather not have it at all.

“You’re really selling it?” Holly asked again to be sure.

Sierra had already made up her mind on the way over. “I am.”

“You must be in some kind of serious trouble,” Holly guessed, staring at the valuable ring in her hand.

John’s cheating was real, but so was how good he had been to Sierra in the past. With Sierra’s personality, she wouldn’t sell the wedding ring unless something serious was going on.

Thinking about John’s threats, Sierra made up an excuse. “It’s nothing urgent. I just want to sell it.”
