Chapter 259
“I saw it with my own eyes!” Cindy sounded completely sure of herself as she accused Sierra of being a mistress in front of their colleagues.
By now, the casual gossip had turned unpleasant.
The ones who had only been idly curious turned their attention back to their screens. Whether they were still listening was another matter.
“I even asked Ms. Sanders about it. She told me herself that you and Mr. Henderson have had intimate contact.” Cindy saw that Sierra was not responding and thought Sierra was scared, so she kept going. “She also said Mr. Henderson calls you using that exact same tone in private.”
“Then just believe what she’s feeding you,” Sierra said. She neither explained nor argued. “Just don’t regret it when she gets you fired without severance.”
Sierra lowered her head and went back to work.
Everyone more or less had their own guesses about the truth, but Sierra’s calm made them certain she couldn’t be a mistress. No one really believed what Cindy said.
As for Cindy, the way the other staff looked at her changed after those remarks. They all remembered how friendly she had been to Sierra earlier. Now, she was throwing out all kinds of wild accusations with no proof at all. No one really wanted to be close to
someone like that.
“What are you all looking at?” Cindy couldn’t stand being watched like that. “I’m not the one having an affair!”
Everyone withdrew their gaze.
Even so, Cindy still felt eyes looking over at her from time to time. The feeling made her restless and miserable, but she had let
it out.
When Sierra left the office and took the subway to the hospital during lunch, Cindy quietly followed. When she saw Sierra walk into Henderson Group’s top private hospital, it only confirmed what she already believed.
Sierra had no idea she was being followed.
She talked to her mother as usual, sitting by the bed. She told her what had been going on lately, what had happened yesterday, and about the upcoming business trip for training.
She knew John had deliberately scheduled it for next Monday, because Tommy was leaving for Summer Camp for eighteen days this weekend, something the school had told the parents about two months ago.
But the business trip…
She was still bothered by it,
While her thoughts kept playing in her mind, her lunch break was almost over. She told Anna she would see her tomorrow, then walked out of the hospital.
The moment Sierra stepped outside, Cindy raised her phone and took photos of her going in and out of the hospital. Then, she
called Pamela.
“Ms. Sanders, do you know why Sierra keeps going in and out of Henderson Group’s private hospital?”
“Her mother is there,” Pamela answered. She was still recovering in the hospital herself, but her injuries were almost healed.” She just had surgery last month. I heard it cost her tens of thousands.”
Cindy was surprised. “Does she have that kind of money?”

“If she really did, she wouldn’t find it hard to pay the current monthly medical bills that were costing her so much,” Pamela said.
She was deliberately leading Cindy to the wrong conclusion. Cindy was the weapon she was going to wield against Sierra.
Even if John wanted to come after her, he wouldn’t be able to. Everything she said was technically true.
“So you mean Mr. Henderson paid for it?” Cindy asked, happy to jump to the next step.`
